Anyone having a 2014 wedding?
Comments

15th November 2014
(a Christmassy wedding with mulled wine, candles and open fires, but short daylight hours and cold temp outside)
Or
14th march 2015
(A spring wedding when daffodils are out, and when we have longer daylight hours to have drinks reception or photos outside the house and grounds, but have to wait until 2015)
Which date do people think is the best??! My fianc! doesn't mind - he says he wants to do what makes me happy..... But I don't know myself!!
Please help me!!!!
Hello
In all honesty I would go for November, if it wasn't for that fact that I'm a teacher and so have to do mine in the summer holidays I would have had a Christmas themed wedding. I love the idea of candles and furry shrugs and the possibility of snow on the ground!
But obviously you need to decide what's best for you.
Maybe make a big list of pros and cons? and don't go for November just because it's the sooner date. That's something else I do, rush into things and then wish I'd chosen something else! Haha hope this helps a littlexxx

Major lurker here
Was proposed to on my birthday holiday the other week, even though we've been together enough years it was still a shock! I don't want to hold off on the getting married for too long, but we decided we quite fancied a spring wedding and next year is just too soon for that...so 2014 it is!
We're going to be fairly low key and we can't even book our venues yet, but I'm looking forward to gradually snapping up little bits and bobs along the way (already found my shoes) and spreading the costs.
I'm definitely not a traditional bride though...for a start my dress is not going to be any shade of white, ivory or cream0 -
Church is confirmed, both for rehearsal and ceremony, plus the church has a hall we can have for the reception if we want it.0

Getting married in Italy in August 2014.I haven't booked anything yet but we have a date in mind and guests are already onboard! We are going to view the villa and meet the caterer at Easter next year when we'll pay deposits etc. We'll be honeymooning with 35 of my closest friends...we can't wait!
801 (ish) days to go!
Hi Yellowcrocus this sounds amazing would you mind sending me through some more details we#ve been looking into doing something similar with 31 guests but not really found anything suitable yet.
Thanks0 -
I got engaged on my birthday in July, we're tentatively looking at 2014 for our wedding but it all depends on how far we can stretch student loans and grants and some part time work wages
I'm considering late November/early December for a very autumn/wintery wedding with lots of warmth0 -
26th July 2014 :j We've had the reception venue booked for about 3 months and the ceremony venue also reserved.
I was at a wedding yesterday, so I'm all geared up for wedding planning at the moment.
My finace is a wedding photographer so we've got loads of ideas about what we want, just need to put it into practice now. He's chosen a photographer :rotfl:.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.
Busy saving for my wedding July 2014.
