Thanks!
I am just going to Ikea for the square vases - they always have a wide variety in and very cheap.
Cake pop - try this - lots of pictures and a very good step by step process. You can use any type of cake and melted chocolate/icing and decorate how you want. We are then going to wrap the pops in clear cellophane and tie with our wedding colour and name tag.

Just wondering how everyone is getting on its gone a little quiet?
Wedding planning has been coming and going in waves. Having organised venue in April we have now got wedding insurance, and paid deposit on catering and photographer.
Have seen a few people have got their dress already! Not being a dress girl, I am having to work up to that one, though have been thinking about booking an appointment...0 -
Hello, mine is all going well thank you, went & got the dress pretty much immediately as I saw exactly what I wanted and it was the only thing I wasn't paying for, so I snapped it up
. Four months later I still love it, but its hidden away & I won't be looking at it for at least another six months.
Our date is 7th April. People are being strangely negative about how much we've done, but we are very organised people and having put down all our deposits & decided exactly what we wanted we know exactly how much we need to save. So that's it now until April next year, save save save!!0 -
We'll be looking at venues soon, trying to decide which we want then hopefully putting a deposit down later on0

I'm pretty much all organised going to start making my flowers soon (paper ones) and making the invites too

Hello
I went quiet on the wedding planning for a while to concentrate on uni work and then last weekend I paid the deposits for some more things so now we have done:
Deposit for venue
Deposit for catering
Deposit for DJ
Booked church
Deposit for wedding cars
Deposit for dress!!!
Deposit for honeymoon
Leaving the flowers until a little nearer the time but knwo who we're using.
Can't decide on invites yet so we'll argue about that later :P
Photographer chosen just not paid yet.
Busy busy! xx0 -

Hi, I'm brand new to this wedding planning....and I now need some advice so I'm hoping someone on here might be able to help me please?!!
I've been engaged since jan 2012, but only just started wedding planning due to exams and new jobs etc!
The problem I'm now facing is that we didn't start looking at venues early enough, and hence our dream venue is taken on all the summer Saturdays we had wanted.
However the venue do a winter weddings deal which saves £2000 on the normal venue hire price. Since I couldn't get my ideal date (24 may 2014) I'm now looking at two other dates which fit in with the better money saving deal:
15th November 2014
(a Christmassy wedding with mulled wine, candles and open fires, but short daylight hours and cold temp outside)
Or
14th march 2015
(A spring wedding when daffodils are out, and when we have longer daylight hours to have drinks reception or photos outside the house and grounds, but have to wait until 2015)
Which date do people think is the best??! My fianc! doesn't mind - he says he wants to do what makes me happy..... But I don't know myself!!
Please help me!!!!0
