Bit strange (spooky even) this thread has popped up, last weekend I found a tape of a recording from when I went to see a medium about 15 years ago.
I wasn't supposed to go, but a colleague had made the appointment and couldn't make it, so when I got there they didn't even know my name etc..
Listening back to the tape was quite surprising how much of what he said has actually come true.
He said my sister would suffer a great loss in the next couple of years but not to worry because although it would take time, she would be ok as my Gran (who he called by her family nickname!) was looking out for her.
Her then fiance was killed in an accident 2 years later. It took her a very long time to start to move on, but she has just moved in with someone after being single for nearly 10 years!
He told me I would move away, and it would be a mistake but it would be something I had to do, at that stage I hadnt even thought about it, and I did within a year. He was right it was a mistake lol
Then again he also told me I had already met the man I was going to marry, yet I am still single lol
There was a lot of other stuff he mentioned which has or had happend, family things that no one else would know, then again there was an awful lot of waffle!

They picked out the model and colour and described what the problem was which was dangerous as it meant the wheel could have come off when she was driving.
She was not aware of any problem but when she went home and had the car checked out, there was a serious fault with it just as he had said.
They'd seen her arrive and had fiddled with the wheel nuts, probably."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
I wouldn't take it too seriously, I know some folk go regularly but tbh I think it's because they have something missing in their lifes, I mean, why would you go to a stranger, pay 30 bucks and be told basically not very much that is accurate, it's mostly speculation. I don't believe they have the power they say they have, if so, they wouldn't be punting their powers in pubs and houses, they'd surely be higher up the social scale no....? If you can take it as a bit of fun then that's really all it is, but for me, at £30 a reading, I'd rather buy myself something than give it to a charlatan.0

its not spooky at all, the medium has just made a vague statement that can be retrospecitvely fitted to most people. Its pretty much impossible for the medium to be wrong. Sit back and think about all the other possibilities that could have happened to make it look as if the medium was right.
"great loss" - define great loss. A great loss could be 100 quid, or a house repossessed, or a car stolen, or a loss of life as in your sisters case, or lost a job. It doesnt matter to the medium which it is, because the medium has merely predicted a loss and many many things could have happened to fit the bill.
and the second part
"it will be ok in time" - how much time? It isnt specified, therefore pretty much anything and everything fits that statement.
All that has really been predicted is that your sister will suffer a loss (that is perceived to be a big loss) and that with time she will be ok. Pretty much like everyone else.0 -

It was the knowing my dead grans name that freaked me out the most at the time, only people in my immediate family called her that, he described what she looked like, there were little things, like saying she is talking to me in her "teachers" voice (my Gran was a head mistress and a tough old bi*ch at times).
There was other specific things regarding the past that were spot on, 1st time. but as I said there was a lot of waffle!!

Little and old with wrinkles? Grey / whitish hair and wore glasses and bad cardigans? yay...Im psychicthere were little things, like saying she is talking to me in her "teachers" voice (my Gran was a head mistress and a tough old bi*ch at times).

again, it is a mere coincidence that she was a teacher, the psychic didnt ever say that she was a teacher. It was implied and that is the skill here. There will be many other people that he said this too without them being teachers however they will recall a teacher like voice (ie) position of authority relative to a child. Therefore the psycic "wins" again because they can not be wrong.0 -
a friend at college was very into the Derren Brown psychological tricks things and he could do it very well, if he hadn't have said at the start 'this is definitely not because i'm pyschic, i've learned how to read people' you would have easily believed he had a 'gift'. He did it with me and it seemed uncomfortably accurate and i said nothing apart from a yes to some questions along the way
i don't believe in it but i do wonder if the people who say they're psychic are all con artists who have learnt the same tricks or they happen to have a gift for cold reading and genuinely believe it to be a psychic reading.
My sister had two with the same psychic- the first one she was convinced was totally true and accurate even though the psychic said that my grandma was seeming like she was effing and blinding- my grandma never ever swore and also said that she was owed money and the evidence for it was in a box or something, it was a really detailed derail but absolutely false. it was clear that the psychic had misread her disbelief for the usual 'omg how could you know that?'
the second time she went she'd just found out she was pregnant and the psychic didn't mention anything about a baby so she realised it was rubbish xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

I saw one when I was 25 (ish)
She told me I would be pregnant and I would have the child before I was 30.
As if. I had been told 2 years before I could not have any more children. Therefore, I forgot her silly comments.
19 days before I turned 30, I had DS. :eek::T0
