Managed 3 NDS's! Been to pre-planned food show today and spent just under £40, though some was what owed a friend and some of the bits I bought are presents for my dads birthday.

Is my birthday tomorrow so hopefully other than paying for a bus later won't be spending for a few days!
I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

Did our weekly shop today - just need to pop into Aldi tomorrow to take advantage of their super 6.

Well I had a rubbish day yesterday. Feeling tired and emotional so spent money on comfort food £5.65 on fish and chips and cuppa coffee 55p on Kit Kat and £10.05 on wine more choc and crisps. So am now feeling a bit fat as well as a bit more broke than I should be.

Anyhoo not spent anything today and have a day out walking tomorrow so have packed sandwiches hm cake etc so that should be cheap n cheerful.

    Onwards and upwards, aarrrgh!

NSD......may run out of milk, but might see how life is without it if i do,will also run out of dream for coffee but will hop onto ginger tea when that happens (ha...less calories too:))

Havent eaten a thing today yet as spent so much time hanging around on this site, in fact totally lost track of time and ended up flying to work with wet hair and a very strange assortment of clothes on :rotfl:

Have the hm chick pie and salad for tea here........and god knows what other rubbish is lying around at work, have kind of half promised that if i get up early enough and get act together am going to make crumblies to take to work............have hatched this plan so i dont get to eat entire tray myself but still get to try them.

    Keep going all

    Walk away from the purse:T

zero road-kill today..but havent been on the streets...........................if you get my meaning:eek:
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
  • TapLady- let me know about Tea as somethings I cannot go cheap on and the main one is tea...like to enjoy my tea.
OH is sort of talking to me now, keeps adding "but I/we can't afford it now" as though I don't feel bad enough.:(
Only exchanged house in Sept so loads of jobs still to do.Emptied a few boxes and yeeeee I found a jar that I had saved some shracknel in and a few bags and coats with a few coins in...good start to my new jar(well hidden from DD and OH) £7.48 found and deposited.
Stayed at home yesterday just to stay away from Flower festival crowds and didn't need to go into town for any reason. So NSD .
Going to add more totals of money owing and loans to signature .
With support from you all and hopefully OH (given time) in a year they will disappear , I know this is a long term project not a quick fix.
I love this site and like you Calico sit for hours reading forums and tips from Sir Martin (think its something we should aim for lol).
Keep up all the good work and stay +.:T:T:T:T

Hi chums I'm home from my wanderings around Dorset what a smashing county it is.Very expensive for meat though I spotted a leg of lamb at £32.00+ in a butchers there, needless to say it stayed there :).Well I came home with some of my food and I did spend a lot less than i thought and yet we had a great time .Just off to my DDs for dinner and to see my lovely grandsons I will have a stocktake tomorrow and see whats needed in the cupboards
Hope you all have been industious with your saved pennies whilst I have been away I have tried the sainsbigs Tbags and found them fine and at 27p a packet very money-saving
    Take care all

  • Hi all,
Jackie, lovely to see you back and posting, glad you had a good time.

Gingerjar, never mind, today's another day!

Teabags - we don't have a Sains. anywhere near, bur will look out for one when away, have also heard good reports of the val. teabags.

Well, haven't spent a penny today and only bought a paper yesterday, so think I can see my way to another £10 for the hols fund.

Jackie - £32 for a joint - I have fed us for a week on this amount of money! Was it gold plated?

Is our wedding anniversary tomorrow - no plans, but could do something last minute - but I would be quite happy with a bottle of wine and dinner at home.

Hope everyone is OK, we've had some sun today, hope you all have too!

    Thankyou!! :j

NSD for me! Been treated to things instead  Randomly my dad bought over a bag of green beans, must of got my telepathic message of writing 'greenery' on shopping list, in turns means I can spend tomorrow in pyjamas and not leave the house!! :j
