  • Hi everyone :) day 7 of FF and I had a small ys slip up yesterday - well kinda but all the things I got are thing we will use. got a load of yogurts which have been put in the freezer, some cream which I have whipped into butter and will use that and the butter milk to make some scones for the week ahead (probably am going to need to freeze some as have 200ml)

today we will be taking madam to soft play so that is a fiver but as her cb is saved in an account for activities and things needed this technically is a nsd for me :p

  • I'm resurrecting this thread :) have decided I need to have a frugal 11 days as only have £25 left of the GC budget. Have got a lot in though and have done a meal plan and think I will only need milk, bread, and fruit towards the end of the week.

Going to the allotment in a minute and not taking my purse

I'm not sure I could manage a full seven days without spending anything at all but it would definitely be good to do a week where I only spent on essentials :)

As it's the 1st August tomorrow, it's the perfect time to start not spending money :)

Pipkin71 hide your purse :) and dig and delve in the freezer and cupboards:) when ever you feel the inclination to buy put it off and think of other things to do no where near the shops .I now have got my shopping habits down to roughly about every 10 days :) but lots of other things done instead i.e. decluttering catch-up TV,sewing, knitting reading and even walking around to the park which is in the opposite dierection from the shops :):)

    Hello,

I am aiming to do a fiscal fast for as long as possible. My fiscal fast will be to avoid all unnecessary purchases as lately my eBay, Amazon and wool buying has got too much.

All my grocery shops have been strictly budgeted for, so hopefully, here too there will be no extra spending.

First thing to do is to take my amazon/eBay accounts off automatic sign in to make it more difficult for me to quickly purchase an item.

    January 2025 Grocery Challenge: £220.00/£59.47
January 2025 NSD: 0/30 (unplanned spending)

I’ve got to get cat food and milk tomorrow then I’m not shopping for a week! I’ve not missed going to the shops over Xmas and I’ve been making meals for the freezer and using upnwhat I have - more money in my pocket rather than the supermarkets and more time spend doing other things rather than wandering round shops!
