  • I'm back on board again. Went shopping yesterday and spent £10.98. Have got to try and do this until Thursday, thats when hubby gets paid. I didn't take into account a couple of direct debits that are due out before hubby gets paid and daughters birthday tomorrow.
Dinner today is chicken with potatoes and veg. Any leftover chicken will be for sandwiches for tea.
Everbody else is doing very well. What a great thread :T.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Yesterday was day 7 of the fast! My fail was on wednesday as I forgot again about the veg box order  Not going to fret about that though as I am trying to eat healthier ready for the dental work next week. I will be living on soups, yogurts, milk puddings etc for quite a while so packing in the good stuff while I can!:o

I know I can make healthy soups using vegetables and pulses and blending them and could I suppose liquidise stews is need be. We are off to do a shop soon, mainly consisting of soft foods! Mr Catz can share a shepherds pie, fish pie and soups. Ice cream is popular and trifle so we should manage.

I am still nervous but this needs to be behind me now. We go away 4 weeks after the implant is placed - on a boat on the broads - so away from dentists, fingers crossed all is ok by then. I will be taking all our own food as I don't think I will have a lot of luck eating suitable foods in any restaurants. Mind you we do hope to visit a favourite one on our anniversary night, (36 years!) I can manage soup for starters, ice cream for afters just not sure what I can manage for the main course! Ah well there is always mashed potatoes! :D

I must go work out how much money I have saved this month! I really think I have managed nearly £150 :j This does include the swap for the highchair as well though. Like everyone else I am appreciating more time at home rather than queueing in the supermarkets.

Welcome aboard Calicocat! I love the idea of saving on the electric as well and will definately include an earth hour!

Enjoy the musical Jackie, sounds like a lovely day for you and your dd to share together. My dd and her oh work in theatreland and so I am lucky to have seen a few shows with them, hoping to see Rock of Ages when I have recovered and feel like venturing out again.

    Everyone is doing so well!:T
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Just going through my fridge before we leave for holidays tomorrow for a week.

Have prepared and blanched all veg, mushrooms, and peppers. Now all ready to go in freezer so pleased with myself normally I would just either throw away or when i came home throw away then so saved a lot.

Fridge should be nearly bare apart from a few yoghurts still in date and chocolate mousses.

Well pleased hoping to have saved some money.

Make £200 by end of January... £20.42/£200

Hello, having lurked and enjoyed this thread, I've decided to join in. Yesterday was the first day of my fiscal fast, I'm feeling ill with a nasty cough/cold virus so probably won't even leave the house today! Apart from not having any bread, which is what I'm craving at the moment, I have enough food in the house to feed me for a couple of months probably!

My DD is away for a week with my parents so that will help a bit!

Once the bills have been paid I have £150 for the whole of April, to include food and, gulp, petrol! Not sure if I'll manage it at the moment...

Sunday 1st day NSD today but spent most of this afternoon baking for my DGS.I have them on Moday &Tuesday this week so I thought I'd better stock up on cakes.Made a dozen butterfly cakes,a big tray bake and a large stack of jam crumblies. Most of which will go with me in a minute to my DDs house for the boys.I always have sunday dinner there each sunday evening so i like to take a small contribution towards things.
Tomorrow we aare off to the park with squash and cakes to keep the boys going Definitely another NSD for me as there is no shops near to the park to spend anything in, sneaky or what :)
Only 27 days till my holiday so the more I can save the better off in my pocket I'll be
Onwards and upwards chums a new month ahead and more challenges
    Cheers JackieO xx

Day 2 under my belt :) I've spent most of the day in bed feeling ill, I think I should go and see the doctor about this sinusy thing now as it's been a couple of weeks......

Just had a lovely dinner of bottom of the fridge veggie Thai green curry, I put a potato in with the other veggies so I didn't need rice :)

I wish I had made some cakes like JackieO though!
