Morning all,
Well, it's the start of a new month for me money wise and I have spent the last hour totalling up my spends for April and it is not pretty. I am ashamed of how much I have spent on little bits and pieces online, so my fiscal fast starts now!
I have budgeted all my essential spends for the next month, so apart from these I don't need to buy anything else. My hubby is on holiday for a week at the end of the month, so I have set a little money aside so that we can go out for some day trips.
Nice to read all your news, and it's encouraging to know there are others who understand.
Off to sort out my pantry and freezer and do an inventory and menu plan. Please wish me luck!
Erica, how are you doing?

Afternoon all,
Had my first grocery shop of May delivered and it came to £124.82, this leaves me with £55.18 until the 27th May.
I have made a menu plan, but I need to fine tune it as both hubby and myself are unwell so the plan has not been adhered to.
The pantry and freezer are full of good food, so I am determined to use what we have in, before buying anything else.
Have two bags of apples to freeze, and also need to make a cake.
Hope you are all keeping well.

Hi Everyone! I am good. I have been forgeting my password to log in lately. My birthday was May 13th and I just turned 33. I still get mistaken for 26 or 27.
I had a difficult time last month with the FF but, am doing better. It's hard to afford anything because our local store is too exspensive and I can't always get to the big city to do shopping that is cheaper.
I was in the hospital for a few days last month. I got really sick and had some complication due to my Poly Cycstic Kidney Disease.
Unfortunantly I had to throw away quite a bit of food because I was gone for several days.
I have received a lot of birthday money, so hopefully I will stay on budget this month. I haven't bought a lot of food these past few weeks. I think my stomach shrunk in the hospital. Hospital food is terrible.
Anyway, enough rambling. I hope everyone is well. I hope to be on more since I created a password that is easy to remember.Frugal in '14!!!! God Bless all of You!!! Hi chums been AWOL for awhile due to hospital op.s etc but back here again.I have £30.00 left from my £60.00 food budget in my food purse and nothing to buy for a few days.So halfway through the month and full cupboards at JackieO Towers:):):)
Tonights dinner will be a piece of smoked cod from the freezer with mash and green beans also from the freezer with fresh fruit to follow.Having converted completely to crackers instead of bread I find I am eating less which is good for the waistline, plus there are some good crackerbread offers around at the moment I tried the Lidle crispbreads and I liked the seseme seed ones ,good as ryvita but half the price.I have also started to use UHT long life milk a bit more and found it does keep longer than fresh milk and is a bit less expensive .tesco's dried milk is pretty good for using in puddings or custard and works out about 15p a pint
Hope you are all doing well with the f/fasting
WhichwhydoIturn I had the 'A Girl called Jack's ' cookery book bought for me and its excellent and her recipes are extremely good.I love the beanburgers really cheap and easy to make. She is working on her second book I believe
Onwards and upwards chums
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -

craigywv I'm with you honey, its batten down the hatches time as the holiday needs paying for in three weeks time.So my purse is going into deep-freeze I think.I have only just got in from a very busy weekend and haven't even had time to do my menu's but fingers crossed I will get my lists sorted and menu's planned tomorrow morning.I intend to spend as little as possible for the next three weeks at least I know I have more than enough in the freezer and I'm going to use up my fridge stuff if I can before buying more.nothing on th shopping list and I'm out to dinner tomorrow night as my eldest DGS Danny is treating his Granny to a nice meal in Maidstone as he's just had a promotoin at work and he likes to give both of his grandparents a treat when ever he gets a bit of good luck .
On Tuesday my brother who is over from France for a few days is taking me out to dinner in the evening ,so I have no dinners to cook for a couple of days which makes a nice change:)It will be freezer roulette on Wednesday as I want to try to use up some of the unidentified stuff in there .wish me luck ,who knows what I'll be eating
