Hi all, I had a hard time with the fiscal fast this month as I had a Dr. Appointment 3 hours away and helped pay for gas/petrol. It's so exspensive!!! So I will try the FF next Month but have another Dr. Appointment at the same place. It's the only place I can go because the state pays my medical bills, have to stay in the state. Darn it!!!
So if I have to keep going down there, I'm going to have to shell out some cash for gas. ((UGH))
I may be forced to FF 3 weeks out of the month if this becomes a regular occurance!Frugal in '14!!!! God Bless all of You!!! Frugal = 'Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!!!'-Saying from the Great Depression in the US 1929-39. Love you, Erica Dawn0 -
Well definitely no spending for me as I am hanging on to my pennies as much as I can and shopping from the freezer and cupboards for the next week at the very least .One good bit of luck I had today I had an email from EDF and I am so much in credit with my gas & electric that they have reduced my monthly payments by a fiver and I am due a rebate next week of £156.29p yay I am quite chuffed about that as it will go straight into my holiday fund as its only 12 weeks until my annual holiday on the Isle of Wight. So I am a happy bunny this morning

Hi everyone, I am going to have to Fiscal Fast, for over a week so I can save money to help pay for gas to be able to get to my Dr. apptmt this next month.
I have decided to severely restrict my spending to $20-25 US Dollars every other week, in each month. The good news is that our local discount store hast started carrying fresh fruit and veggies. They are much cheaper than our regular grocery store.
The thought of having to FF so often and cut my budget A LOT has kind of made me a litte depressed. I have decided to just focus on my Knitting. I am co-founder of a prayer shawl ministry at my Church.
I am aslo learning American Sign Language. I bought a kit (Book, DVD, Flashcards) with my birthday money. I have always wanted to learn Sign Language. I am learning it faster than I ever expected, so that ought to help distract me from thinking about $pending.
Well, here's to a strict budget of $20-25 U.S. Dollars every other week. I can do it!! It's just going to take a lot of discipline.Frugal in '14!!!! God Bless all of You!!! Hi guys can I join in .... I'm absolutely broke at the min and the kids seem to just be asking for everything. They are going to secondary school in September so I'm trying to start putting money to one side for that ...
My freezers are rammed and store cupboards are bursting so should be good for food for the next week at least, loads for the kids and I'm going to make some soup for me this week as I'm not feeling to well.
I've put some petrol in the car but am planning to not use it if possible ... I use the train for work and the monthly payment for that comes straight put of my wage packet.
So hopefully no spends and I can put that money towards school uniforms (im determined to be better organised this year;) )

Craigyvw that sounds yum !
Officially had a NSD today ... my dad even brought some fresh cherries, tomatoes and mushrooms round, that's tomato soup and mushrooms in Philly for me for the rest of the week
just gotta decide what to do with the cherries (they are my fave and I love them in cakes but never made any before and I'm meant to be on a diet)
Any suggestions on the cherries front guys ... something low fat but yummylicious ?

Hi, still here, tonight we had a massive chicken salad it was lovely and fresh. Tomorrow will make fish of some description.fancy some spiced loaf in breadmaker tomorrow with real butter! Was out looking in garden my blackcurrant bushes are heaving with berries so plenty of ribena and jam in the near future. My spuds are about 2 and a half foot tall so think they should be a good crop too! Beetroot doing well also. Everything else is coming along good too except lettuce.............ended up replanting more seeds as last ones never took. Have a lovely evening all xxxC.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z #7 member N.I splinter-group co-ordinater
