The maturity date has put me off this offer, your options at that time become rather restricted....has the dripfeed option throughout 2012/13 been verified ?,i have a feeling better options will become available in the coming weeks.

    Interesting point lilith.

So really it's a 25 month ISA and not 2 year.

If the 4% is offered for the last month it's ok isn't it.

Would we just be able to do a transfer to another bank in May? Or do banks lock transfers to ISA after April?

I was told that the 4% applies from date of deposit and/or date of transfer application received.

As regards options at maturity - they look pretty much the same as with other FRISA offerings ie make transfer arrangements a week or two before maturity (requesting funds be transferred at maturity) or get ripped off with their follow-on rate.

    Hi,

Did anyone else NOT receive an email with account details after applying online.
I received one about 10 minutes after applying, but my wife hasn't received anything after 3 days. Will anything arrive in the post?

    Can anyone suggest:
    1) Which is the correct Santander address to send the form to?

    b-
    External Cash ISA Transfer Team,
    Building 2,
    Carlton Park,
    Narborough, Leicester,
    LE190AL

It's that one. I phoned to ask and they were confused too :rotfl:, but went away a couple times and came back with that address (the one on the form).

I sent a transfer form on Monday 5th from Nationwide for the Major ISA I opened first thing Monday.

Today I got a letter back dated 6th, ref ISA Transfer Team with the following goobledegook..

'Unfortunately I am unable to action this request as your existing ISA has gone out of the transfer in period'

This was for the 2 Year Major ISA which I opened Monday.

I phone Santander and no one there understands it, and they basically said its impossible I would have this letter, and no one would have sent it! Even though its on a Santander headed letter, signed Saundra Ruttledge, Business Manager.

Santander have no record of sending me this letter and can't explain why then can't do the transfer, and basically told me its impossible I got the letter than is in front of me!!!

They said my transfer from Nationwide was still on their system.

The returned ISA Transfer form was stamped 'PBMS BFD 06 Mar 2012'

Just out of curiosity; where did you send it?
    • Bradford?
    • Leicester?
    • Somewhere else?
BFD in your post probably indicates the reply came from Bradford.

...and where did you get the form from? Branch or download? I'm wondering if some of the downloadable (if you can find them) forms are out-of-date and perhaps relate to an earlier product.

Is it possible that the transfer form you used was an out of date one? The link to the transfer form on Santander's website wasn't working and someone posted a link on this thread (I think it was this thread) but the link was to a 2009/10 form .
