Is it possible that the transfer form you used was an out of date one? The link to the transfer form on Santander's website wasn't working and someone posted a link on this thread (I think it was this thread) but the link was to a 2009/10 form .
The link to the form posted yesterday in this thread (from a Google search) is for 2011/12 transfer. The only difference I can see is the save code at the bottom of the forms - the latter contains 'OCT 10' whilst the one on the form from the now working link on the website contains 'MAR 11'.

Would be nice to have the correct address verified by someone else. Santander told me today it was the Leicester address on the form after much checking.

Maybe its best to take it to a branch for them to deal with - maybe :rotfl:

When filling in the transfer form for the field existing ISA account number field do I include the sort code with the account number or just the account number? The field just says account number, but the it's six digits larger than my Barclays ISA account number and so would fit the sort code. The field for the Satander ISA did want the sort code, although that was made clear.

I always find something to worry about with forms! :o Thanks for any help. :)
This is everybody's fault but mine.

I opened the 2 year ISA by phone on Monday and was given the sort code & account number.

Still not received anything in the post. They say 14 days to submit the transfer. That should be 14 days from when they send/we receive the forms.
I just noticed this on page 3 of the one I have just downloaded ...

(Tick if appropriate). I apply to subscribe for a Cash ISA
for the tax year 2009/10 and each subsequent year until
    further notice.

Best I wait for the one they are snail-mailing me I think !

Unfortunately, I still can't access the up to date form on the website:mad: Have to wait for the 'welcome pack' or pay a visit to my local branch

Just out of curiosity; where did you send it?
    • Bradford?
    • Leicester?
    • Somewhere else?
BFD in your post probably indicates the reply came from Bradford.

...and where did you get the form from? Branch or download? I'm wondering if some of the downloadable (if you can find them) forms are out-of-date and perhaps relate to an earlier product.

    Hi

I got it online, printed it and sent it to the Bradford address. (PO BOX 1112, BD1 9NR)
  • I visited a branch earlier as I was passing and asked about the address of the ISA forms. The helpful adviser loaded the website on her computer and then phoned "head office" for clarification (they had a internal address they used in branch), apparently it doesn't matter which address as it is scanned into their computer system when it is received at both addresses. Whether that is true or not I don't know but thought I would pass on the information.

FWIW, I ended up doing my ISA while in the branch, it took about 20 minutes and she showed me it all being put on the system her end for the transfer of my ISA from Barclays. Very good service from her, I think I will be back there next week too, to change my bank account from the reward account to this new cashback one.

That's just it, the address given on their website is Bradford whilst the address on the form you can now download there at the link on that page is Leicester (maybe it was different when you downloaded yours).

Now that so many people on here have noticed and commented on this glaring inconsistency, you'd have thought Santander would have fixed it. Come on Santander, we know you're watching this thread, we know you're posting glowing praise of your accounts. Get it fixed!

I got stuck with the question regarding the transferring out account number and if the sort code should be inserted too.

In the end I went into the branch and let them do it all online. Only took 15 mins.

The "Personal Banking Advisor" told me without hesitating that my transfer will not be gaining interest at 4% from today or Monday and it will only do so from 1st April. He also said that the maturity date is also on 1st April 2014 ... Hmmmm web site says otherwise !

Did he say what interest, if any, it will be receiving?

It's that one. I phoned to ask and they were confused too :rotfl:, but went away a couple times and came back with that address (the one on the form).

It's Bradford but it doesn't really matter as they will forward it on to them anyways
