Well done, great to read such a positive post, gives hope for the future
hahha! I laughed at the log on to see balance as I always do that too!
I cant wait to see the balance go down on my loan and then update it on my signature as soon as I can, its the little things that give me the incentive to pay of more as I always pay a small extra amount to round the number down to noughts!

Hi There!
Thanks for popping in! I think you do need the small things along the way just to make you feel like you are doing something productive. It can be a long wait in between pay days when the real payments happen. You need smaller goals to help you along!
Good luck with your loan and thanks for your support!

Well there I was, just through the door at work yesterday at 7am and I got a text message off my sister listing what her family all want for xmas! Hubby thought it was really cheeky of her when I told him but I was kind of happy about it as I can now plan ahead a bit. On the down side though, it has just reminded me that I haven't really planned xmas into the equation when it comes to my debt plan and I spent yesterday evening in a panic about the effect it is going to have on my plan. I don't want to have to extend the plan by another month just to accommodate all the present buying! I have decided to start early and try and work just one gift a week into my weekly shopping budget. Looks like we are on beans on toast for the next 3 months!

Just done my 2nd weeks grocery shopping and paid for it all with my Nectar points! Saved myself £45 this week! Didn't pay it off my debt though as I was desperate for some new tops to wear at work as I was down to my last one! Got a couple for £25 so I still have £20 left. Will see if I can pay that off my Barclaycard.
I have a feeling I may need it though as a friend from abroad has decided to pay a last minute visit to us tonight as she travels home from her uk holiday. I haven't budgeted her into the meal plan so I can see a takeaway coming on!
I am finding that the nearer I get to debt freedom, the more I begrudge paying for things like this and the more I get annoyed at people gatecrashing my plans!
I'm also smothered in a cold and had very little sleep last night so I'm not going to be a very happy host!
Off to work now in the torrential rain! How I wish I could go back to bed!
Have a great weekend everyone!LBM 01/03/12 Debt £[STRIKE]27924[/STRIKE]

 to the xmas family list! I do think that is cheeky - but like you say perhaps now you have time to shop for cheaper alternatives.
You are doing so well and are so close - I know exactly what you mean about those final stages. Its made harder with xmas on the horizon too but at least that light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.
Raining here too which I know the ground needs but I am off to spectate at a horse event so I can see me getting wet! Enjoy your weekend.0 -
Another cheap week with my groceries thanks to my Nectar points! I have spent Just £20 in the supermarket (the other £27 was paid with my points) and £20 at the butcher. So this coming week, for only £40 spent I have a weeks worth of meals including a joint of beef for tomorrow as a treat! Happy days! :j
I have been paying every penny that I have saved off my lowest Barclaycard including next weeks fuel budget for the car as I am off work so will not be using it. I have stopped buying wine with my groceries to save a few quid. (I never thought I'd ever do that!Hee hee) I have emptied my money box and paid £30 ish from that off my debt too.....
I am now down to just £92 owing on my lowest card! It is driving me insane as I am so close to paying that card off but I have no more money left from this months budget (other than the final weeks grocery money but I could do with keeping hold of that!:rotfl:) but I really really want to try and pay it off without having to wait until payday! I guess I will just have to wait and be patient. I am so excited though about getting it paid and then only having one debt left! Just think what I will be like when I'm at this stage of paying off my final debt! I will be going round the bend! I'm sooooooooo close I can almost feel the debt freedomness!!! Only 4 or 5 more pay days do go and It will be here!!:):):)

Some good news today! Hooray!! I had a really weird feeling yesterday that if I put a line on the lottery I was going to win! I was totally convinced! I went online and bought a ticket and I was so positive that I was going to match some numbers that I checked my e-mails this am as soon as I got up to see that I had one from the lottery. I logged in and I had 4 numbers! £49!! How did I know that? It was so spooky!! I have withdrawn it back to my bank and will pay it off my card. That will leave me owing only £43 on it!
It just seems really bizzare that I was on here yesterday saying I was so close to paying it but I couldn't get hold of any more money until pay day and then this happens! :T:T:T:T:T:TLBM 01/03/12 Debt £[STRIKE]27924[/STRIKE]

Just a little update on my lowest card..... I have scrimped and saved and economised, done surveys and everything possible this week to try and pay my lowest and penultimate debt off and I am down to owing only £37.71 and have run out of money! Ha ha ha!!! (I'm going round the bend I tell you!) So I have resorted in trying to persuade hubby to be really kind and pay the last bit off before I turn into a mad woman! He has asked me about 6 times how much it is but hasn't been forthcoming with the cash yet! Groan!! I need some positive vibes from you all to try and persuade him to part with £37.71!!! :rotfl:
Wish me luck! Hope you are all having a great debtbusting day!

Hahahha Know how you feel! I had a spate of selling on facebook sites and even sold old gold earrings and weighed in clothes just to see that balance go down a little.
I have paid a card off this week - the final £90 (from £2600) and when I checked they had added £1.71 interest:mad: Paid that and sent an email to ask them to close the account down:j
Good luck - you inspire me to carry on - Ive got 4 more years to slog- but dreaming about that finish line.. well done [STRIKE]£7600[/strike] £3189 Mint £9547[STRIKE]£11223.95[/STRIKE] 10470 0% Barclaycard 34months:T Total Unsecured [STRIKE]£23,600[/STRIKE]£23206
