Also your wife should be covered too under their free spouse policy.
Auto aid are so brilliantly cheap and efficient I can't put it in words.
Do use them, I have for some years now and they are wonderful.0 -
My wife was rescued about 5 miles from home on the day before Good Friday when the front part of the exhaust & cat from our Berlingo fell off into the road. The recovery driver appeared in about 50 mins of calling Auto Aid and was extremely nice and helpful. They also sent a follow up text to give an approximate time too. He removed the offending exhaust and after ascertaiing that the local Citroen dealer could do the job followed her down to the garage with the exhaust on his truck. Great service. Claimed as per procedure and got the cheque yesterday only two weeks after the incident and 10 days after sending it off. Great service and I won't hesitate to recommend Auto Aid to my friends.0

I have just taken out autoaid breakdown cover.
£36 for the year. A bargain considering my current provider autonational wanted 66 for at home start which is a good deal, but i wanted to cover a car and a motorbike which would be £99 for at home. contacted AA & RAC - both over £150 pounds for personal individual cover for both vehicles
Over the telephone they said it doesnt cover scooters - i don't have a scooter I have a 125cc motorbike. They have said only motorbikes over 150cc .
This will just give me more incentive to do my full test and get a bigger bike.
I took the cover out anyway as still cheapest out just for a car.
ON reading the policy details, it doesnt say anywhere about any restrictions on motorbike having to be over 150cc, so if i do breakdown on it, i will be trying to claim by Autoaid. Has anyone tried to claim for a motorbike under 150cc?0 -

Hi it says in the terms and conditions you need to keep your vehicle regularly serviced which I only do once a year. Do they ask to check your service history when you make a claim or take out the policy?0

Not usually.
I think this sort of clause is in there to cover them.
i.e. they would only use it if someone was making lots of claims and they suspected lack of maintenance.
Normally they wouldn't bother.0 -
I have been with them for about 3 years, First time I called them out I had been knocked off the road in to a field, They came and recovered me and I was not charged. Next event. Car at home would not start. Autoaid sent a mechanic, we still could not start it, again, no charge. Next event, Car recovered to garage, I paid £45 and have sent the bill to Autoaid. As an aside I resigned from the ROTTEN AA years ago, I broke down, I was directed to an AA apointed garage, They damaged my car and when I attempted to use my legal cover with the ROTTEN AA they refused to help. Autoaid is great!!0

Hi all - I read that Autoaid don't cover scooters - and as I have a car and scooter, I would like something that would cover both. Any ideas? Thanks.
