I have re-joined Auto Aid this week, as my car is now 3 years old and out of manufacturer's warranty (and breakdown cover). I'm very happy to be back with them too.0

Yes, I renewed mine in August and was suprised it was £34 and not £36.0

I've definitely been charged £36 for my new policy.

So it looks like the reneway price is currently slightly lower that the price for new customers.
For £2 I wouldn't worry about it too much.
I don't think they'll send the balliffs round0 -
just renewed and it is £34!!! nice one.......it's cheap enough anyway but a further £2 off for renewing customers is a bonus!!:beer:0

Thanks to Martin's advice I have been with Autoaid for about 3 years. Only had to use them once recently. They were quick and reimbursement was also quick. No problems at all.0

Only use reputable recovery services.
Get Auto-aid to arrange the recovery service if necessary.
If the recovery guy won't give you a receipt - dont give them any money.
Note also that most reputable recovery services will be required to charge you VAT. As such, they must provide you with a fully compliant VAT invoice. If they don't report them to HMRC - the chances are they are not fully declaring that VAT they are collecting."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Is there a limit to the number of call outs in a year?
We haven't had one im over 5 years - touch wood - so that is close to £1000 to the very very nice men for nowt!0
