Hi all,(especially PPI expert Dizzy Di) ;)
I have 3 separate PPI claims I wish to pursue, all with slightly different criteria.
1 is with Northern Rock for mis-selling us, or so I believe, through Legal & General, accident & unemployment insurance that we were told was needed to help process our mortgage application when we were 1st time buyers in 2003.
We actually still have the same L&G policy today, although our mortgage is now bigger,as are our premiums,& we are now with Nationwide after moving house in 2007 & ending our deal with N/Rock in 2008.(We do not know the N/Rock mortgage account no., but have the L&G policy no.)
Will the fact we have had, in effect, the same policy with 2 Mortgage lenders make any difference to our claim?
The other 2 are both credit card PPI claims with MBNA, my missus' one is quite straightforward, she held one between approx, 2oo1 & 2007, at 1 time had a balance of about £1000 & is convinced she was paying PPI on it when she didn't need it as she gets paid when she's off work anyway.
My one is more complicated, I had it from roughly 2000 until about 2004/05, I can't remember exactly,I ran up a balance of about £3500-£4000 for approx 18 months -2 years,& I made a claim in 2003/04 after being off work for 2 months.I received just 1 payment thanks to their qualifying period scam, & I'm pretty sure I cancelled the PPI on my card not long after that, & had paid it off in full within about 18 months. There may well have been quite a few late payment charges thrown in there as well.Am I better to use a credit reference agency to find out the full details about the cards or pay the £10 & ask MBNA direct? (I don't know my MBNA a/c no.,but my missus knows hers).
Thanks in advance for any reply.

    Rob.

Hi, i am the personal assistant for our Di :D:D i have her permission to help when she is not online :rotfl::rotfl:call me Di by proxy :p

Re the Mortgage ppi, this will depend on how it was set up, post this question here
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=187
They can help you more as they have the knowledge regarding Mppi.

If your wife has card number and reasons for mis sell then put a claim in, look here for reasons for mis sell
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-credit-card-insurance#step2

For yours, you could use the credit reference agency, this will give you the last 4 or 5 digits of your card number, you could try these and see if MBNA can find your account , you could just ring MBNA and give as much info as you can and they may find you this way, failing that do a Sar ,
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553
this way you will get all the info you need.

If you win redress with your card they will take the payment back that you claimed, hope this helps.

hi Amersall - thanks for speedy reply. I used the template off this sight and it actually asks for loads of information not just the credit agreement which is why I was confused. I thought they had to give me statements and all sorts. They have however supplied my account number which is good.

    .

Hi mt7x2 - was your account also closed and did they say 'the right to be provided with this information from Egg Banking plc ended with the closure of the account' ?

Thanks Di - I will do.

    Hi,

Yes my accounts were closed in May 08. I did send another letter to a Jenny Gordon in London as another poster suggested but that was returned by the post office as unknown at that address. I sent off my SAR at the beginning of Feb so it's only taken a month for them to reply which is within the guidelines. Hope you get the reply you need soon.
