Hope the "red bits" help :D

Thanks Amersall, I have now received an acknowledgement letter from Santander to say that my claim is being dealt with but no mention of a timescale, even though when I contacted them they said investigations can take upto 8 weeks.

With regards to the ppi being front loaded, what makes you say that? Is it because the amount I paid back? On the Santander questionnaire form for ppi reclaim it asked whether the ppi was paid upftont or as a monthly premium but I had to tick the "unsure" box as I have no idea. All I know is I paid £310 a month for my loan for 5 years. Would they automatically look into this or do I have to Phone them to point it out?

    Many thanks

The point is that if the loan had PPI "front-loaded" onto it, then this is a definite candidate for redress.
As there is a question asking if there was front loading, I'd guess they'll check for you as part of their assessment of your complaint. Did you pay £310 in one go each month? Or was the repayment split in two so that your PPI was paid for seperately? Old statements should show this...

can i ask a quick question, i have a claim going through with nationwide, i did tick the box that i wanted ppi, but i felt they mis sold the ppi, i felt pressurised, i did put that on the form, my question is, did other people tick the box and still win their claim.

It does not matter if you ticked the box, it could be that this was not explained to you fully so you knew what you were paying for and if it covered you , people have won when they have "ticked the box" you will have to wait for the outcome.
    Good luck.

  • Hi everone,
I need some help please. I was sure that my loans from blackhorse were front loaded ppi as I was paying 2 loans at once but as a single monthly payment. The paperwork was all one one page. I have already submitted my claim using the consumer questionaire from this site and used this point as one of my reasons for mis sell.

If it wasn't front-loaded and you've complained that it was, the Bank will simply dismiss this part of your complaint.
It doesn't mean your whole complaint is invalid.

I had three old loans which have been paid up with Lombard and following the advice on here i sent them the standard letter with the £ 1.00 fee. They have wrote back with a section 77 request which i am in the process of compiling this weekend stating they need more information. In the meantime today i have had an alert by my equifax stating " there have been changes to the following credit agreement in your credit file. Deleted credit agreement summary by Lombard bank on one of the loans i enquired about. Do you think they may be trying to alter the policy i took out ?

Has anybody on here experienced this. Thanks

    Hi there

I am not too certain what they are doing here, but if the account is still active they should still hold the details and a credit agreement.

However, have you actually started making the reclaim, by completing the reclaim questionnaire? Stage 3 of the reclaiming.

You can still do so as long as you have the account number and you know you were sold PPI, and for whatever reasons you have of course.

  • Thanks Moneyineptitude for your reply.
I had other valid reasons for mis sell on all the loans, so fingers crossed
