Yes, I'm still here Steve! :)
My own complaint has now generated the letter informing me that HSBC's enquiries are "not yet complete" and that they'll write to me in the next four weeks to update on progress.
I thought they had eight weeks to respond properly? Has this been extended again by the Financial Ombudsman Service?

    Hiya

To what I am aware of it's back to 8 weeks, but if they do require longer they should let you know.;)

Yes, HSBC's website is still saying that eight weeks is the full response time for complaints received this year.
It looks to be a standard letter, to be honest, and no reason to assume that they'll be taking any longer than usual.

Hi there and no worries, I get days like that :D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:lol.

For the bank charges, the information should all be enclosed on the links (sorry I am not used to dealing with that side of things), or if you post up on the other link I posted, it takes you to the relevant thread, if you ask there about a template letter to reclaim bank charges, someone on there will lead you in the correct direction.;):)

    Hi
I am currently on a DMP. My claim for Santander has been upheld and I have been refunded £7087.70. Reading all the forums I am knew that this would go towards paying off of my outstanding arrears which is absolutely fine, however after reading some of the forum comments I was under the impression that the 8% interest would not be put against the arrears. Santander have informed me that everything has been put into paying back my arrears including the interest is this right? If not is there anyway I can get this 8% back. I hope this makes sense and many thanks for your help. I claimed my PPI on my own by filling out the questionnaire from here.

Hello, I'm in exactly the same position as you - was just wondering how you got on with Santander? Had they sold on your debt to a collection agency or was it still with their own collections department? Many thanks
