I am undecided what to do ,mid 80,s we took our first mortgage out , we are positive that we forced to buy their insurance that was sold as part of the mortgage deal , no choice.

I have searched high and low for more details on the account , but all i can find is the mortgage account no, and the mortgage payment installments statements from the building society, but nothing regarding the insurance payments as such.

Can i claim still ?? if so how ?

Can I contact the BS and ask for more information to claim ?
are they obliged to give me such information?

    any advice greatly appreciated

As Executrix of my late husband's Will, can I reclaim PPI on credit cards and bank loans held in our joint name, where he was usually the first card holder and/or first named signatory?

:)Hi I have bank statements showing monthly payments for abbey cc 1996-2001 but it does not show ppi payment.

the only document I have is from mbna when they took over card in 2001 saying that there was ppc on card.

Santander have sent a letter which they say is final response stating that I need to provide statements showing details of ppi and they will review it

I rang them for an explanation and they said that basicially the letter is saying they dont agree or disagree that there was ppi but they need statements showing ppi

I thought I would chance my arm and have written to say that I although I understand what they are saying the fact that I have it in writing that when card was transferrred over and there was ppi and I know I had made some payments that I have more proof that there was possible ppi than they have that there wasnt and a gesture of goodwill after 25 years banking might be appropriate.

Now thing is I have spoken to FOS and they say that they can look at it but very hard to prove

If I do not have statements showing breakdown is this dead in the water...I do not want to waste FOS time when they seem to be inundated with genuine claims

I suppose I just need someone to say let it go :(

  • Hi All,

I am being given the run around by both my own bank and a couple of loan companies that I wish to claim PPI back from.

I bank with Yorkshire bank, and the loan companies I wish to claim from are Lombard Direct and Black Horse Finance.

I have statements from Yorkshire Bank showing direct debits to the two loan companies and have been into my branch to request details of the direct debits in order that I can proceed with my claim.

The bank have been totally unhelpful and advised that they do not have any details on record.

The two loan companies are claiming they have no records of my loans and are refusing to go further with my complaint.

Can somebody please advise what course of action I should take?

    Many Thanks

    Yes you can.
  • Hi everyone,

Just need some quick advice. Applied for SAR fdrom Natwest and have recently received a response.

They state that they have been unable to locate my loan agreements.

They have supplied a table showing the date of the loan, the application amount , sort code and account number. There is then a seperate column which is headed "Insurance Premium".

On 4 of the loans between 2001 and 2006 it states a sum for Insurance Premium.

Am I right in thinking that the term "Insurance Premium" used by Natwest relates to a PPI Product? Or for the sake of clarity should I ask NatWest to clarify?

    Thank you

    :rotfl:
  • Hi all hoping you can help with this.
Huge thread so hard to trawl and find the answer.
Had a loan originally from egg but now taken over from moorgate.
I have started the process and got the t&c's from moorgate.
I am now at the stage of posting the consumer questionnaire, but should I post it to egg or moorgate?
