PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

This is regardless, the FOS don't accept that being given info constitutes a rejection reason.
Write back and reject this, show you could have paid this card back should the worst happen, sick benefit, savings life insurance etc.
Thanks, yes I thought it sounded a bit dodgy! But when you get a letter like that you tend to believe the sender because it is official.
Do you think I should just write to the obudsman or MBNA?0 -
If it is not a final response from MBNA then write the rejection back to them, if it is a final response then send it to FOS, put copies of letters from MBNA and your complaint and the rejection letter detailing the reasons you are rejecting.0

Yes, you can claim. It's easy.
Just get the details of the loan from the bank i.e., loan reference number, the date it was taken out, the date it finished, fill in the PPI questionairee form (download it from this site and also read the guidance notes on here) and send it all recorded delivery (not special post, which is another rip off!) and you will get a letter from them in a few weeks saying they are dealing with your claim and within 6 or 8 weeks they will let you know (by post) of their outcome.
Good luck!

ppi questionaire??
Yes, go to this link (I have to seperate it cos it won't let me post it otherwise!)
money saving expert . com / reclaim/ppi-credit-card-insurance
and scroll down to 'Step 3: Write to your lender' and there are two things you can open called 'Template' and 'Free Guide'.
I have only ever sent the form off, i'm not sure if it is compulsory.
Actually, I think, if i remember correctly when my friend did it, when you send them a letter they just send you the form to fill out so it makes sense to fill it out first, it speeds things up. But in any event the 'Free Guide' certainly gives you a lot of tips.0 -

Yes, it is a final letter from MBNA so I am going to write to the obudsman and see what they say about this pathetic excuse!0 -

Hi,
In 2007 I took out a loan for a motorbike and got along with it a hefty chunk of ppi. As I was quite young at the time I had a parent sign as a joint borrower. I believe I was mis-sold the ppi by the advisor, who was extremely aggressive in the selling of not just the ppi but of the loan itself, pushing me to go for the longest loan avaliable.
So I'm filling out the questionnaire, not really considering the fact that my parent was a joint borrower on the loan - though I made all the payments and ppi was never used. I was wondering if the fact I had a "joint borrower" on the loan made my case stronger, or if I should just carry on with my intial complaint?
Thanks,

If you paid the PPI in with the loan monthly payment, this is Single Premium PPI and this is the reason you use for the mis sell.
Send the complaint to the dealer you bought the bike from if they arranged the finance, if you took a loan from the bank to buy the bike then you send the complaint to the bank.0
