Hi guys,
Received a letter off the bank saying they will repay me £175 with 8% intrest. But they did not take into account, the charges that were occured because the PPI made me go over my credit limit. Therefore do you think i should reject the offer? This has also affected my credit limit. Any ideas of how i can reslove this?
Cheers in advance for advice guys
Kiran

Put another complaint in for the charges and ask for them to be refunded and the reason why.0 -

Earlier comment on my post here suggested a number of comprehensive replies to my question here, but I cannot locate them? How can I find them? Tried search, but no trace of a response? Sorry, but new to this forum!0

i have written to my bank requesting info as the loan i had taken out was some 5 years ago. i have received a letter back today though off the RBS telling me the following;
"according to our records, this loan account is now closed. accordingly section 77(1) of the act is not applicable and we are unable to supply the information that you request,"
am i right in thinking RBS are just trying to palm me off here in the hope ill just go away? what would be my next move? is it worth going through a company to try and reclaim something i might be owed? thanks guys.0 -

I swear I am addicted! I think in the summer when I have a few weeks off I may turn into one of you.
I have about 4 weeks sitting by a pool in France coming up. (no jealous cries please, I worked hard for it hahaha )So I will try to use that time productively to help others, it only seems fair.CC 1 :- £5800/ £5,800 CC2:-[STRIKE] £4513 / £4513[/STRIKE] CC3: £4622.53/ £4622.53[/STRIKE] CC4:- £8971/ £8971[/STRIKE]Loan:- [STRIKE]£1785.63 / £1785.63[/STRIKE] 0

Probably wrong in this but if the account was open in the last 6 years they should still have the details.

Personally I think yes!
what would be my next move?
I am sure that you can request details of your account using a SAR it costs £10 you request all the details that they hold on you and not just statements and agreements. They then send you all the details that they hold on your account.
is it worth going through a company to try and reclaim something i might be owed?
Never under any circumstance use a claims company, they only fill out the same forms as you and charge you an arm and a leg!!!!
Hahaha this is where I get told off by the regulars for getting it wrong. But thats my tuppence anyway.CC 1 :- £5800/ £5,800 CC2:-[STRIKE] £4513 / £4513[/STRIKE] CC3: £4622.53/ £4622.53[/STRIKE] CC4:- £8971/ £8971[/STRIKE]Loan:- [STRIKE]£1785.63 / £1785.63[/STRIKE] 0

You get the Sar info, send it to the claims co, they post it to the bank...they charge you upwards of 25% plus Vat for doing what you have nearly done already.
Get the Sar and see what info you get back, ask for all info they hold on you and not specific things like the agreement etc.0 -
I am getting so frustrated waiting for HSBC. Wrote to them first in March and received an offer letter on 10th April. 8th of May I sent them some statements going back further than the term their offer covered. Received a letter 19th June saying they would be back within four weeks (I know that time is not up yet).
My poor postman is becoming nervous that I fancy him, I think and going home traumatised each evening!!!
As I feel they only needed to recalculate the redress, I really don't think it should take this long. Do you feel I just have to sit it out? I know your answer is probably going to be yes, but just needed a rant!!!!0
