i have made contact with haywards marsh to manage my claim but they need policy details
So you're going to do all the research yourself, fill in the same free complaint form available from this site and then pay this company at least 25% of any redress you are awarded simply for posting your complaint to the lender?

Perhaps you need to re-think this?

Help with everything concerning your complaint is available here on this site!

Start by writing Subject Access Request (SAR) Letters to Sainsbury's and Goldfish. It costs £10 for each lender and you should get back everything they hold on you from at least the last six years and (sometimes) more. They have forty days in which to comply.
Here's an excellent template which you can adapt to your needs:

    Thanks Amersall,

I am still confused though as the ppi amount has changed from £200+ to £900+ so instead of paying 8% of 900 they are paying 8% of 200.

Have you had the redress yet? it is possible they will give you the extra 8% on the total redress, if you do not get more, then contact FOS and complain to them about the 8%.

The bank should give you the extra 8% when you get the whole PPI back, if they did not then they have not done this correctly, they would not tell you to go to FOS if they have done this right.
Accept the offer, if the 8% is not correct when they give you the money then you can complain to FOS.

You do not need the policy numbers, the account numbers and reasons for mis sell are all you need to make a claim.
Have you tried your Credit file? if these loans were settled in the last 6 years the last 4 digits of the account numbers will be there, you can use these to make a claim.

Have you signed a contract with the claims co?, if you have and it as gone over the 14 days for you to cancel with them I am afraid you will have to let them do the claims, what info have you given them to date?.

I was lucky to have paid a lot of credit/store cards through my digital banking account, I went into the account & brought up list of payees & the reference was the account number. Please do as others have said, I had sent a 3 items to one of these companies, had success with one RBS card through them for £1367, just under £400 of that has to go to the company. I then found an old folder with statements etc so decided to fill out the standard form as mentioned above, sent them recorded delivery & almost all my claims have been upheld, just waiting on 4 more coming in. So far only Argos have declined it. You have noting to lose. I regret getting involved with them now for something that has cost me the price of recorded delivery. The people on here are very very helpful :T

    Hi All!

Quick query on PPI.... any help would be appreciated!

I had a credit card and a loan with Clydesdale Bank, which were paid off in full and closed in 2007. I have a feeling that I may have paid PPi on these accounts, so went through the process of writing to the bank, asking for copies of the agreements under the 1974 Consumer Credit Act, as per the template letter, and included a cheque for £1.

Today, I received a reply from the bank stating that they can confirm that my accounts have been paid - and as such, there is no longer an agreement in place under the CCA. They state:
"Under the Act, subsection (3) states that subsection (1) does not apply to: - an agreement under which no sum is, or will, or may become, payable to the debtor.

I trust this is satisfactory, however should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us".

And with the letter they have returned my cheque! No documents, or anything that I asked for!
Is this right> Do they not have to provide me with the details because my account is now closed??

What do I do next? Write to the ombudsman? All I wanted was to check and see if they did charge me PPI!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Just call them or pop into a local branch, they will tell you if you had PPI, the £1 only applies to open accounts, for all info they hold on you the charge is £10.
If they cannot find you then send the Sar.

    Hi Neil,

I had exactly the same response from every company where the account is now closed. Once the loan/credit card has been paid in full and the account closed they are not under any obligation to provide copies of the agreement documents, and they are only too pleased to exercise that right! Frustrating and deliberate however by sending a 'subject access request' and a payment of £10 you will receive all documents held by the company in regards all old accounts. I had to do this and ended up getting not only the aggreement I also got statements. Quite literally everthing they held on me.

    Hopes this helps
