PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

When they call you back tell them you have taken an insurance with the Halifax and you do not want to discuss this now as you are covered and are happy with the cost, thank you and goodbye !!!.
Get them to put in writing that they are not doing a claim with FP and then you can do it and keep all you win.
Have you got the FP agreement? if you have then this should show the PPI, if you haven't got the agreement then call FP and ask for it, they may charge you £1 for this but it will be worth it if you have PPI, I cannot see a FP loan not having PPI to be honest.
I will do amersall, thank you again, I do have paperwork from FP but nowhere does it show PPI, the paperwork I have is what I had to send back to them with witness signature. I cannot see anything saying ppi on it, think original loan was £15.000 with 96  payments of 247 a month. The above guy also said on checking your Decreasing Life Insurance it seem it is so high as there is Mortgage Protection Premium on it for which you already have a claim in for, after initially telling me it had nothing to do with PPi  as it was life insurance  REally regret getting involved with the company now, I was so blinking adament I didn't have ANY ppi :rotfl::TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Hi Everyone
A little update, I was a little confused to say the least, got two letters from RBS on Friday, addressed to me only, I think I had a loan or 2 in my name only, going by memory, one was for £1k & I think the second one was for a bit more, taken when DH & I split up which then led to the chain of consolidated loans. I telephoned when boss went for lunch & lady on the telephone told me these were in my name only! Would they automatically investigate all loans either joint or single as the complaint was in both our names? We have letters in both our names from RBS with different reference numbers which we are still waiting to hear about. I have paperwork for our joint loan, the one we were paying over £77 a month in PPI when its clearly ticked on the (original) paperwork we refused it so it seems that we are still waiting to hear on that one as I would have assumed paying that amount for 4 or 5 years the refund would be more than the figures below
Here are the figures
All the usual, not admitting liability in anyway but as a good will gesture yadda yadda
Customer Name – M
Loan Account Number xxxxxxxx
Total Refund of PPI Premium and associated interest paid to date - £973.81
Gross Interest at Statutory Rate added to each overpayment to date plus additional interest for delay from when we informed you the complaint was put on hold £847.37
Less Tax (20%) £169.47
Net Interest £677.90
Total Offer £1651.71
Customer Name – M
Loan Account Number xxxxxxxx
Total Refund of PPI Premium and associated interest paid to date - £40.16
Gross Interest at Statutory Rate added to each overpayment to date plus additional interest for delay from when we informed you the complaint was put on hold £39.13
Less Tax (20%) £7.83
Net Interest £31.30
Total Offer £71.46
RBS Credit Card complaint upheld & accepted offer of £1367.00 (this is the one I sent to the PPI company so I am glad I done the rest myself as I have to hand them just under £400 which I really really grudge now.. I learned my lesson!
Argos - Saying I was not mis-sol that it was taken out in 2003 & cancelled in 2009, I don't actually have the letter in front of me, DH just called to let me know. Is it worth sending this to FOS?
Santander - Have no paperwrok as it was so long ago they have no data so not worth pursuing?:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Hi,
Can anyone help with this please?
HFC first offered me a refund of the PPI premium I paid to them of £228.60. The PPI was taken out on 22.5.00
The statutory interest at 8% has been calculated at 208.88.
I contacted them to say they havent included the PPI i Paid to debt collectors when the account was passed over.
They replied to say yes you are right, we will refund you £938.53 plus 8% interest of £208.88.
Why havent they recalculated the interest??
I told them they have made a mistake and today I received a letter telling me this is the only redress I am entitled to!!
They also added that I have now exhausted their complaints handling procedures and if I contacted them again they would not reply!!
Do I accept this offer? Why isnt interest paid on the full amount??
Thanks0 -
I am thinking of making a claim to Lloyds TSB for PPI I was mis-sold going back to 2004 though I don’t have any details of the PPI policies I know I did have PPI and was told I had to have it .
I had another loan after that and was told again I had to have PPI insurance.
I also had a credit card with the same bank.
When I got into debt because of being laid off work and going into a lower paid job I never claimed PPI because I didn’t know I could.
Now I have had all my debts consolidated into one loan which I owe £18,0000 pounds on.
I do not know any policy numbers for these PPI policies.
Do I just write to the bank with a P.O for £10 pounds and let them get on with it and trust them to find the details for me?
I am thinking of going to a claim company ATM because I am uneasy about approaching the bank.0 -

Hi gwilliums,
This may be of some help to you:)
I have told lots of people that I work with about this site and how easy it is to make a claim on your own, without the need of a claim company.
Please don't use one as they will take such a large chunk of your money.
Right here goes...
One of the girls went into her local branch of Lloyds and spoke to an assistant who gave her a list of all her loans with account numbers and then said she could use their phone to ring the dedicated PPI team.
Her complaints were logged there and then.
If you could face going into the bank this could save you the £10 charge for a SAR.0 -

It is only a loan that you do not cancel the PPI on.0 -
Hi,
After putting 2 claims in with barclaycard on the 15th of this month I received a letter from Barclays Dublin insurance (apparently this is who I spoke to through the call centre) Letter stated my complaint had been logged but I would have to deal with Barclaycard direct in future. Rang barclaycard this morning and they had no record of the complaint and Ive had to file another one this morning, then would be sent a questionaire. Bit odd as the last complaint was took over the phone and then was told I would get the standard 'sorry for the inconvience' caused letter which I didnt get. Bit annoyed as its took 2 weeks to get this far.
Should I contact the person I origninally spoke to at Barclays Dublin?0
