Hi my husband applied for a PPI refund about 5 weeks ago does he have to wait the 8 weeks before contacting them or can he contact them for an update. Thank you
Hi, I'm a million miles away from being an expert on here, but see nothing wrong with a follow up call. I made one on mine today 4 weeks after my stuff went in and was told I would be receiving an offer letter. Hope you get equally good news!!0 -

All you need to make a reclaim are your loan agreement numbers and your reasons for miss- sell. I remember now this is Blackhorse.
Use the single premium for your reason for miss-sell, this is the most upheld of all .
You don't have to wait for the forms to arrive you could just download them from this website and save yourself some time.
Can you tell me do I make individual claims for each agreement or one claim for all three, I am sure each was a consolidation on the previous0 -
Hi all, am new to this forum but used to read and then disappeared for a while. Recently i thought of a way to clear my debts and i thought of claiming the PPI and then take it from there. After reading encouraging messages from this board, i decided dto take a plunge and face WF.
I went through all my statements and was surprised to see that the loan i had with Welcome finance in 2005 was for £15000 but their statement showed £19,553.75. I have been paying all through except 2010 when i stopped for a while due to misunderstandings when i queried the figures. i resumed my payments which i increase but now their figures show that i owe them £21,911 after all these years. and recently when i pulled out my credit report, it shows that i have defaulted all years through, yet i have been paying them every month. I dont know what to make of this. So i found one letter written to me earlier and today i called the FSCS and wanted to find out if i could get a report of what i have paid from day 1, the lady was kind enough to tell me that she deals with PPI claims! I said ok, can u tell me how much i have paid so far in PPI? and she said she was sending me a form to claim back my £2668.70. I guess if i had called Welcome finance directly they would not have given me the same information.
Am keeping fingers crossed but i still need to find out how the figures are worked out as it seems they are only increasing rather than decreasing!! I have again stopped their payments because i feel its a rip off i need to see clarity - although i know i have to settle with them in the end.0 -

Would this be the main reason to put on the questionnaire?Do we phrase it to say it was a very unfair way to pay for the insurance?
Thanks again.
You can put that this is not a fair insurance, as the interest is put on over the term and the pro rata rebates that they give on early settlement or if you cancel, means that any remaining PPI is either paid back in the settlement figure by you or is still on the Loan if you cancel, until term end.0 -
Hello there,
Wondering if anyone can help with reclaiming ppi from Cahoot (now Santander). I sent them a request for information on my loan more than 40 days ago now and I have proof of delivery so I know they have my request. Not surprisingly they have failed to respond so I am writing to them again.
Should I say I will report them to the Obundsmen for failing to respond if they don't get back to me within let's say....a week?
Not sure what steps to take with this now as I need the paperwork from them in order to progress with my claim.
Thanks in advance!!0 -

You can do individual ones, but I would put all the Loan numbers on the one complaint, the reason for mis sell are the same and put that these were consolidation Loans.0 -

You could ring them and ask if this request is being processed, depending on the answer they give, you contact the ICO as they have not given you data you asked for.

These are Single premium PPI and you pay this to term end with interest, this also adds up over the term.
If I were you, I would contact Welcome and ask for statements of the account as you are disputing the balance, you should continue to pay the Loan as this will decrease the balance, you need to get statements from your bank of how much you have paid to the Loan and compare to the amounts that Welcome say you owe.
Contact FSCS tomorrow and ask if you put the claim into Welcome will the Loan be reset without the PPI.
The FSCS only compensate 90% of the total PPI and the Loan does not get reset, this means that the PPI with interest will be on the Loan still until term end, you want the Loan reset to take the whole PPI amount from the balance, the monthly payment should reduce by the PPI monthly amount and any PPI that you have paid to date will be taken off the arrears, this will greatly reduce the debt.0 -
thanks for this - i've really struggled to find where to post this question. even now, i'm not sure i'll find the answers when they come. however, lets ask and worry about that later.
i've got 3 ppi's claims in, all of whom are saying that they were pre-6 years ago so they have no records even tho two of them say they know ppi was paid (how?). is it worth my pursuing them. i've already forwarded one to the FSO but was this a waste of time? I have no paperwork relating to the accounts any more but, as i say, two have said they know i paid ppi... any advice anyone?
The one you have sent to FOS, did you get a reply from the bank? you have to let the bank deal with the complaint before you take this to FOS, the FOS cannot make them find paperwork that is not there.
The 2 that said you had PPI, did they give you a Loan account number? they should have this.0 -
