Help!!!
I have been writing to Clydesdale Bank since November 2011 requesting details of my loan starting in 1999 and finished spring 2007, I do not have the account number ( I’m trying to obtain this from my own bank from my direct debit) and have provided a copy of my credit report showing my address, loan to Yorkshire bank, date opened and balance in January/ February 2005, I paid £160.00 per month so the loan was settled spring 2007.
I have received responses several details after my SAR request stating "please be advised that due to a passage of time we no longer hold any information in relation to your accounts".
My question is how long a bank should hold your information, at the time of writing the expiry of the loan would be less than five years, I get the impression I’m being fobbed off. Any advice would be helpful, FOS or CEO direction maybe?

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone has made a PPI claim with MBNA and if so, did you get an acknowledgement letter and how long did it take to get a decision?
It has only been 4 weeks but i have not had an acknowledgement or anything yet.:(
I had a acknowledgement letter stating they aim to respond within 28 days. Then a second letter stating I would receive a response by 3rd May 2012. Low and behold, 3 days letter that claim was being upheld and 3 days after that my chequeLBM 11/2009 Total Debts 11/2009 £44624 with DFD 2015

Hi vix i won a case with mbna, fairly staightforward although the judicial review got in the way when the bba decided not to appeal mbna gave us a decision and a payment within 8 weeks, might take longer for you though as there chocca bloc at the mo, good luck.0 -
Morning,
will the FOS send me an acknowledgement of my claim? I posted it recorded delivery on 2 May and have not heard anything. I realise the decision can take many months but do they send anything before then?
thanks
Hi lam they will acknowledge but it might take a bit of time at the moment as they have a long lead in time so be patient you will get a response.0 -

Hi kris you could try calling them but you will probably need to sar them

Hi, has anyone had any success claiming from the above company. I'm not sure whether to try and clkaim from the Halifax as I paid this from 2002-2006, so not sure if this company was regulated by the FSA. Also I destroyed most of the paperwork in 2006 except one letter confirming my account. I paid £74 per month and it was arranged when I took out the mortgage in a meeting. I can't remember if we were pressured and felt it was a condition of the mortgage offer but I know we felt that we had to have it after it was introduced to us in the meeting.
Any feedback helpful, as I paid a lot of money, well for nothing...
Best wishes,
Steph0 -

Thanks, can't believe it, you were spot on!! After all the running around i phoned the complaints department and got all 3 agreement numbers from a very helpful lady :j She said they would send out the claims forms but can you tell me do I still need to send the SAR to get breakdown of the loans and PPI payments?0 -

Hi kris i'm not surprised they did that the banks arn't playing ball at all now, the sar is the best route now.0 -
