  • Hi again, I need to ask what may (or may not be) a daft question.

Amersall, you've suggested that I include the fact that my ppi was a single premium as the reason for mis-sell. Is this what I write in Section E "why you are now unhappy with the insurance?" of the consumer questionnaire that I send to Welcome?

"I am unhappy because I believe this to be a single premium insurance which did not suit my needs." or should I write something else?

Thanks so much, Ive downloaded the questionnaire/form earlier and have only just plucked up the courage to sit down and complete it despite having most of the info now Ive rung Welcome. Stupid aren't I?

I think my aversion to forms has developed over the years as most forms are for something vile. Ive developed a similar hatred of answering the phone and opening post. Pathetic really! get a grip girl... lol

    Thanks Amersall in advance. x
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x
  • got my sar info back today 7 loans with blackhorse each payed the other off 2 agreemants show we signed twice on the same sheet for the loan and ppi the other 5 were signed once it shows the price of the loan and the price of ppi on each agreemant but all 7 loans were only ever taken as one direct debit payment

    Hi american bulldog,

This certainly shows this is single premium and the most upheld of all PPI mis-sell:D

    Go get 'em;)

    Hi Myalphabetgirls,

You most certainly are not stupid. You are actually one of the most brave people I have come across.

Well done you for downloading and filling in the forms, It's really quite a big step isn't it.

I'm sure amersall will be along in a bit to help you with the answers you need.

Thanks for sticking with this and i'm sure everyone here is behind you and can't wait for you to get good news.

I've just had a cheque through the post from Barclays for my PPI claim for £1,446. From the claim amount due to me they have taken off £2,600 from my settlement monies for the amount they wrote off the account which is now closed and a full and final settlement was agreed. Can they do this or should I be entitled to the full £4,046? Surely if a full and final settlement was agreed and the amount was written off and account closed then they cannot missell me a PPI and then take the monies owed to me to pay off the written off debt?

Any advice on this would be helpful as I am not sure of my rights in this situation or what I am entitled to.

Alphabetgirls, you are a strong, brave lady. Know it may not be appropriate to post this here, but just have to say today is the first anniversary of my 6yr old nephew having an accident in his home; he died 17 days later. I know how devestating this can be for a family, but really good to see you strong enough to fight for your rights. Good luck!!
