thank you octonut I stupidly did not think about doing that. I will do that straignt away
I didn't think of it until I was reading your post! I sent mine off without any shading-out because it was just a savings account that didn't see much use, I wouldn't be too keen sending off my current account statements for all to see. Good luck!0 -
Hi Benji the banks/lenders will tell you anything, i was told exactly the same by LTSB, no details of any accounts but no ppi and i asked the same question, i knew i had the ppi as i always did and i have since found proof the fos are dealing with it now, keep at em.
ENDEAVOUR have put this statement together just didnt want to waste the FOS time if no ppi.
But as it was a second mortgage I am sure we did.0 -
Di is the expert with Endeavour, she will help you, but you are right, how do they know this if they have no agreement/ write back and ask how they have this info with no statement.
I will contact them in the morning just want to make sure I have my facts correct still confused with the statement0 -

How long can you really go back with a claim on this ?
I had a loan from 1995 to 2000 and I had PPI on it which I did not ask for, but was told I had to take  is there any chance of getting something from it ?
Cheers0 -

If you have no info and you use a claims co, you do the searching for the information, the claims co sit back and take the fee for putting the claim in to the bank, Diy we will help you with these claims for free.0 -

Depends if you have any paperwork for this and if you don't the requesting info through a Sar, due to the year, may not get you any info to make the claim.0 -
Hello, I wonder if anyone can advise.
Briefly, my husband had a PPI policy with an old mortgage policy with Nationwide. That mortgage was arranged via a broker but he didn't request the PPI as we were offered it for an initial period for free (the first 12 months I think), we then continued it. My husband had a very generous scheme at work covering long term illness and death.
We've sent the forms to Nationwide and they replied saying they don't feel they're to 'blame' because a. the mortgage was arranged by an intermediary b. although my husband declared he had alternative cover through work, he didn't specify what that was (don't remember ever being asked by Nationwide to provide this information) and c. the policy would have paid despite him having other arrangements.
I have the feeling they are trying it on but not sure how to proceed from here. Advice would be appraciated.0 -
I'm pretty sure I had PPI when I lived in London. Unfortunately when I moved over 10 years ago I had a bit of a clearout of paperwork and I have no paper evidence that I did have PPI and I can't remember who I had it with. Is there anything I can do, eg sent a speculative letter to the company I think I had it with (who I still bank with)?
I know it's a very long shot but I thought there would be no harm in asking.0
