    Hi All,

Just looking for a little advice.

Since the age of about 18 ( now 39 )I have had quite a few loans with various banks ( Midland, Barclays and Halifax ), would I be able to claim PPi back from all these companies, also would it be easier going through a claim company. If not do I just ring up these banks and ask tell them I want to make a claim. I used to have bank accounts with 2 of them but now only use one, does this make a difference?

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi everyone,

Im having trouble with Capital One re PPI on two credit cards.

I have partial account numbers (the first six and the last four digits), but they are saying they cannot locate my accounts without the full account numbers! I have provided them with my full address history but they are adamant they need to complete account numbers!

    Anyone else had this??

    Thanks
  • Hi guys fed up getting phone calls about mis sold ppi and I would make my own claim rather than use an agent. I do not know if I am or have been paying ppi as I have had 2 credit cards that I am repaying through dmp. I have had a business loan - now paid off. Also had a car loan now paid off How would I go about finding out if I have been paying ppi on any of the credit cards or loans as I cannot find any paperwork. Any help would be appreciated

What year did you take this loan out?.
They are correct as the company you did the deal with went under, makes me laugh this, it is probably the same people that had the original company who have this company that wrote you this letter.
Thanks again for your help....we took the loan out in 2004. Don't know the ins and outs of how loan companies work, but why don't we claim First Plus when it's them we paid the money to?
  • Good evening, I took out 2 loans with Northern Rock which I repaid early.

loan 1 was paid off in March 2002
loan 2 was paid off in July 2007

Unfortunately, I no longer have the paperwork and i can't remember how I took out the loan (phone, online etc).

I wrote to Northern Rock and asked for a copy of the paperwork in September 2011. I have not received a reply to date.

Should I complete the consumer questionnaire for each loan and send it off and what reason should I give for mis-selling?

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Kind Regards

Good evening, I took out redundancy/sickness cover etc for my existing mortgage through an independant financial advisor. Should I submit a claim for mis-selling PPI and how should I do this?

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Kind Regards

    UPDATE.
phoned barclaycard while relaxing in the sun.
asked for an update on my claim to be told a letter was sent out on the 11th saying my claim had failed, and the reasons why.
never received letter,as i'm guessing they never posted it, and they wouldnt explain over the phone why i'd not won my claim, just that they would send out another copy.
    (another delaying tactic)
told them ,ok fos it is, and see you in court if needed.
didnt sound bothered at the other end of the line, and was happy to get rid of me.
thanks barclaycard for making me wait 16 weeks to be told "no".
i know i've got a good case, you know i've got a good case, but lets make him wait another few months before we pay out.
ITS MY MONEY,YOU CONNED ME OUT OF IT,SO PAY UP.

any advice now would be helpfull, got letter coming from the fos, only got few statements from account i'm claiming for,but all show ppi on them.

my reasons for my claim are:

    1. i was told at point of sale in branch that i couldnt have credit card unless i had the ppi part. "no ppi no card." . if i'd know it was optional i wouldn't have left it on my account for the full time i held it. wasnt until all this ppi scandal came out that i realised i was mis sold it.

    2. didnt need ppi as i had been in full employment for over 7 years, had one months full sick pay,and full pay if off with serious injury.

    3. if i was made redundant ,i had over seven years of redundancy pay coming to me,which would have covered the balance of my credit card, and would have been paid off in full.

I've been told aqua that they are rejecting everything card wise now, fos this, i had the same with them although they said through the fos they would uphold as a "gesture of goodwill" they then when i asked why i had'nt heard anything said they'd changed there mind, what do you think about that? barclays stinks!

  • Hi
I took out a loan with Alliance & Leicester (santander) in 2004 and finished paying it back in 2007.
I don't have the paperwork or account number anymore so called Santander to try and find out.
The guy on the phone couldn't find any info in relation to that loan on his computer but admitted should be there. He said there archive would still have the info but without an account they have told not to request information as it could take up to 8 weeks with the end result being a no claim.
Does anyone know another way I can get the account number and paperwork? Surely it's data I'm allowed to have!?!
    Thanks
