  • Hi all,

I was hoping someone would be able to give me some advice, as I'm only just starting the reclaim process.

I've had my credit card with Nationwide since about 2005 I think, but have none of the original paperwork. The card is still active and I'm still paying PPI. Do you think it's best to send off an SRA to get the exact dates I took out the card and the PPI, as well as the PPI policy number, or can I just send off the questionnaire without this info? As it's still active I assume they won't need the dates or numbers and I'd prefer to get the ball rolling as soon as possible, but I don't want to jeapordise my claim by not including the info if it makes it look less strong.

Any opinions will be gratefully received!

    Thanks!

Thanks again for your help....we took the loan out in 2004. Don't know the ins and outs of how loan companies work, but why don't we claim First Plus when it's them we paid the money to?
The firm you got the windows from would have given you the loan and PPI, FP only leant you the money, because you had this loan in 04 and the company has gone into liquidation, there is nothing you can do I am afraid, you could contact the FOS and ask if you can find the insurer and see if you can go down this route.

Al you need to make a claim is the card number and reasons for mis sell.

    Hi
I took out a loan with Alliance & Leicester (santander) in 2004 and finished paying it back in 2007.
I don't have the paperwork or account number anymore so called Santander to try and find out.
The guy on the phone couldn't find any info in relation to that loan on his computer but admitted should be there. He said there archive would still have the info but without an account they have told not to request information as it could take up to 8 weeks with the end result being a no claim.
Does anyone know another way I can get the account number and paperwork? Surely it's data I'm allowed to have!?!
    Thanks
If you have a branch of Santander near you, call in and ask if they can find you,
or get a copy of your credit file and the Loan should be there, at the side there should be the last 4 digits of the account number, you could try these.
If you paid this loan by DD then your bank may still have the DD list, if they have, the account number will be there.
You could do a request for info, but without the account number, they may have a job finding this info.

I've bought my car through honda finance and ppi has been stuck in with that.

Looking through the documentation and the PPI is underwritten by Lloyds TSB just wondering who I would claim with Honda or Lloyds?

Has anyone else had problems with Lloyds TSB ppi reclaiming. I spoke to loans dept last Fri who confirmed we had ppi on 2 of our 3 loans and put me through to claims dept who took all details. I have today received a letter from ppi dept saying we didn't have ppi on the loans at all. So rang loans dept again who confirmed again that we did have it on both loans and very kindly agreed to send me copies of the agreements showing it on them.As these are from 2006 and paid off now I just wondered do they try and fob people off assuming that you no longer have copies of your agreements for proof. Thankfully their loan dept are more helpful than they think. Just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem?

hi I have paid for a Personal Accident Protection Plan on my Goldfish Credit card for years and have no idea how I got this plan. Can I reclaim as this is not a normal PPI? Does anyone know?
    Thanks
