If you are in possession of the original paperwork (which I am) can you arrange to send this to the above address, in order that we can re-view and investigate your complaint further".0

Hello all. I've been reading this thread for a few days and there's clearly some invaluable information here! Just had a quick questions for anyone that might know; I have a loan that I know has PPI included on it (there are a number of issues that I won't bore you with at this stage).
The problem I have is that I can't find my original contract. Do I need the original document, given that I know the loan details (bank, acc number etc) and that the loan includes PPI, to start this process?
Thanks in advance0 -
after going using the fso finaly got a paid out by nationwide
but the calculations dont look right 2 loans
1 premiums 36.92 x 32 1181.44This is what you paid
settlement figure paid 5701.93 without insurance 4908.78
differance 793.15This is the PPI that was taken from you when you settled, they would have given you a rebate of the PPI but the remaining PPI 793.15 you paid back, they take the rebate of PPI back that they gave you off the settlement figure
net refund 1974.59 this is the whole PPI less the rebate amount and the remaining PPI.
plus interest 1862.84
refund 3837.43
loan 2
premiums 66.27 x33 2186PPI paid to settlement
differance in settlement figues 493.59Remaining PPI that you paid back at settlement, as calculation above
net refund 2680.50This is the whole PPI back less the rebate.
interst 1992.31
refund 4672.81
enclosd cheque 8510.24
They have redressed correctly, see red aboveyou have the whole PPI amounts back less the rebates for PPI that they gave you at settlement.

Hi all,(especially PPI expert Dizzy Di)
I have 3 separate PPI claims I wish to pursue, all with slightly different criteria.
1 is with Northern Rock for mis-selling us, or so I believe, through Legal & General, accident & unemployment insurance that we were told was needed to help process our mortgage application when we were 1st time buyers in 2003.
We actually still have the same L&G policy today, although our mortgage is now bigger,as are our premiums,& we are now with Nationwide after moving house in 2007 & ending our deal with N/Rock in 2008.(We do not know the N/Rock mortgage account no., but have the L&G policy no.)
Will the fact we have had, in effect, the same policy with 2 Mortgage lenders make any difference to our claim?
The other 2 are both credit card PPI claims with MBNA, my missus' one is quite straightforward, she held one between approx, 2oo1 & 2007, at 1 time had a balance of about £1000 & is convinced she was paying PPI on it when she didn't need it as she gets paid when she's off work anyway.
My one is more complicated, I had it from roughly 2000 until about 2004/05, I can't remember exactly,I ran up a balance of about £3500-£4000 for approx 18 months -2 years,& I made a claim in 2003/04 after being off work for 2 months.I received just 1 payment thanks to their qualifying period scam, & I'm pretty sure I cancelled the PPI on my card not long after that, & had paid it off in full within about 18 months. There may well have been quite a few late payment charges thrown in there as well.Am I better to use a credit reference agency to find out the full details about the cards or pay the £10 & ask MBNA direct? (I don't know my MBNA a/c no.,but my missus knows hers).
Thanks in advance for any reply.
Rob.
Just received the T&C's from my missus MBNA card, along with a copy of her signed credit agreement from 2001. On the PPI section of the agreement, she ticked the box asking for cover, does this affect the claim?
Bearing in mind, that directly above this box, it clearly states on the form
"We strongly recommend that you take out this cover. For cover, just tick the Yes box".
Any advice would be much appreciated. If you're not living on the edge, you'll take up too much room.0 -

If you have the loan account number and reasons for mis sell then put the claim in.
Look here for reasons for mis sell

If any/all apply to you then make the claim.
Can you remember if this PPI was paid back each month to the loan in the loan monthly payment, or did you pay the PPI as a separate amount?.0 -
Hi again all,
Just received the T&C's from my missus MBNA card, along with a copy of her signed credit agreement from 2001. On the PPI section of the agreement, she ticked the box asking for cover, does this affect the claim?
Bearing in mind, that directly above this box, it clearly states on the form

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Having said that, a claim can still be made for mis sell if any of these reasons apply

Also, was sick pay in place, life insurance, could the debt have been paid in any of these events? if so then use these as well.0 -

Would this make a difference to the fact she ticked the yes box on the form? Or is that the end of the claim as the onus is on her to prove a mis-sell?If you're not living on the edge, you'll take up too much room.0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this so apologies if I havent posted this to the right area or if this has already been raised before.
I have ppi miselling claims in with First Plus for a large loan from 2002 (paid off) and another with HSBC from mortgage ppi (where the mortgage ended 2007).
My question is : when I took these out, I was married and they were in joint names. I have since split and have been seperated for over 4 yrs (although we have never got round to actually completing divorce proceedings). If the claims are successful, will the payout all be paid to me or will they issue me with half and wait for my ex-partner to claim his? The added complication is that my ex-partner has since been declared bankrupt so Im not sure how that would work for him (although the bankrupcy is due to be discharged next month)....we are still on good terms so could join forces to get this money back if necessary....
Does anyone have any experience of this and have a steer on what I can expect to happen?
Thanks all:)0 -
Yes, as I stated in my original post, she was on full pay if she was ever off sick,& is pretty sure she told the seller this when she made the original application on the phone.
Would this make a difference to the fact she ticked the yes box on the form? Or is that the end of the claim as the onus is on her to prove a mis-sell?
Just because the box was ticked does not mean this was not mis sold, use the reasons you stated and ask for the recording of the sale of this PPI of what was said by your wife at the sale of this PPI.0 -
Hi all
I had a credit card with the Aliiance & Leicester which i was paying PPI !
A couple of years ago A & L were taken over by Santander and the card was taken over by MBNA !
Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation and if anyone could advise me as to who to address the complaint to ?
Spoke to MBNA on phone, i was asked if i was acting on my own behalf to which i replied "yes". Next thing is i receive a letter from them saying they are investigating and will have a decision within 28 days. the following week i receive another letter saying that the ppi was taken out when the card was with A & L and when they took it over i had the option to cancel ppi but as a good will gesture will refund the premiums plus interest paid since taking the card over:j
Also MBNA are passing on complaint to the previous lender ! So hoping they will be as obliging as the MBNA have been !
What has really surprised me so far is the fact that i havn't had to fill a single form out yet, my origional complaint was just a phone call !0
