If you have your reasons dolphin go for it.
Hi cappo,
The reason for my post is, I think this loan and ppi have been front loaded but have been hidden by the fact the premium for the ppi is paid seperate not as a single premium, but Blackhorse and Lloyds are the same company.
And my husband was told he needed to have the insurance.0 -
Quick update - 3 weeks after sending questionaire to MBNA, they've replied saying complaint is being upheld, £3600 on its way within 28days!
Still no word from GE/Santander re Burtons cards but fingers crossed we'll at least get a refusal soon so the next stage can begin.
Thanks for all your help so far!0 -

I could do with your help please.
My husband took out a small loan with Blackhorse in 2009 which runs for 60 months. We didn't send this as a complaint along with our other loans because when I looked through the paper work I looked at the wording for the Optianal payment protection plan and it seemed he had been advised he needed the plan and was paying it as a seperate monthly DD payment directly to the insurer. Therefore I thought not front loaded so no complaint.
Yesterday I was going through all old paperwork and I found 2 letters from Lloyds TSB dated 2010 stating " writing to advise you that we were unable to collect your Lloyds TSB loan premium." Then going on to say "we have tried to collect payments twice, but unfortunatly the payment has not gone through."
It goes on to say they will cancel the policy from the first day of the month to which the premium applied.
We have had no other correspondence from either Blackhorse or Lloyds regarding this and no payments for this insurance have been taken from our account.
Should I put in a comlaint as Blackhourse and Lloyds are the same company?
You could for the PPI you actually paid, as you say you cannot use the Single Premium reason, but you paid about a year for this insurance so if you have other reasons for mis sell then put those in and see what comes back..0 -

It is not "hidden" this is not Single Premium PPI but a stand alone insurance, it show as a payment each month to the insurance.0 -

Thankyou amersall,
Is being told he had to take out the insurance for the loan to be approved a good enough reason?
I have written a reply to cappo aswell, thanks cappo.0 -
I have just received an offer from Northern Rock on my loan as full and final payment of my mis-sold PPI. Do I accept the first offer or can I ask them to increase it?0

This is hearsay and is your word against the person who sold you this, others though have used that reason and not been pulled up about it, so use it.
Look here for other reasons too that may have applied to you.

Check your calculations and post them up on here if you feel they are incorrect, i'm sure someone will look at them for you.0 -
Hi there wonder if anyone can help me with this? Took out an A&L CC in 1999 and in 2003 it was taken over by MBNA. Phoned MBNA to find out details and they started claim over phone. Within 8 weeks I had money from them , they said PPI was not mis-sold but as a goodwill gesture would refund all PPI from when MBNA took over. This has been paid. They stated that they would send details to original lender to reclaim PPI for 1999-2003. It has been some time now and when I phoned MBNA they said to phone Santander to find out how claim was progressing. Did this but Santander said they did not buy CC part of A&L so they are not responsible. Any thoughts as to where I go from here. Many thanks.£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.
