Hi guys,
I could do with your help please.
My husband took out a small loan with Blackhorse in 2009 which runs for 60 months. We didn't send this as a complaint along with our other loans because when I looked through the paper work I looked at the wording for the Optianal payment protection plan and it seemed he had been advised he needed the plan and was paying it as a seperate monthly DD payment directly to the insurer. Therefore I thought not front loaded so no complaint.
Yesterday I was going through all old paperwork and I found 2 letters from Lloyds TSB dated 2010 stating " writing to advise you that we were unable to collect your Lloyds TSB loan premium." Then going on to say "we have tried to collect payments twice, but unfortunatly the payment has not gone through."
It goes on to say they will cancel the policy from the first day of the month to which the premium applied.
We have had no other correspondence from either Blackhorse or Lloyds regarding this and no payments for this insurance have been taken from our account.
Should I put in a comlaint as Blackhourse and Lloyds are the same company?0 -
just of to put latest check for 4k in the bank, this will clear my 'bank' debt ..Just my family to pay back now .. when I joined this site just over 4 years ago I was suicidal and thought I would lose my home with the amount of debt I owed now I'm 'almost' debt free !!! Don't use the PPI companies they basically just post the same letter which is on here and charge you the earth for it!!get rid of all the pounds by summer !!

Okay thanks to this forum we have successfully claimed on a Lloyds TSB loan. Just got the letter today awarding us £3500:j
.
However we have not initiated a claim on our credit card or another old loan back in 2006 as I dont know if we have a case. Hubby had an accident at work in 2007 and was unable to work for a few months. Out of necessity we looked to see if we had any protection on our mortgage, loan and credit card. Up until then we had no inclining if we where covered or not!. Thankfully we were and all three did pay out. So the question is am I within my right to claim this ppi back since we did use it??
Thanks

Hi frankie you could claim and any money paid out would come off any redress won. (a claim is decided on how it was sold not on whether it paid out or not, some might say if it paid out it was fit for purpose but if it was sold wrongly then it was misold irrespective of whether it paid out or not)0 -

Thank you Cappo. That makes perfect sense.
I feel a bit more confident now in making a claim .. watch this space.
