I have a PPI complaint for Black Horse. Do you think it would be ok to email it to Lloyds?? I did this for my other Lloyds claims and they processed them really quickly.
Has anyone emailed a Black Horse complaint to Lloyds??
Thanks
Hi moneyangel
If I were you deal with Blackhorse directly.
I tried the Lloyds route and was given the run around
Here is the phone number for Blackhorse 0844 824 8888
I spoke to really helpful staff on this number.
Hope this helps:)0 -

hi cappo, do I write directly to my bank at their high street address or their head office, I called the bank customer service line to be told they only accept claims on loans taken out in the last 6 years, I have been with the same bank since 1976 and had loans from about that time.0

Hi the only way you would be able to claim back that far was if you say took out a credit card in 76 and it was still active but the 90's should be possible, saying that unfortunately the fsa only force the banks to go back 6 years so It's a bit of a lottery, there should be a dedicated department for ppi claims with your bank, if you can't find it let me know and i'll do some digging for you.0 -
Hi, I've recently had some joy claiming my PPI back from Halifax. I managed to do this without any account details to start with and to be fair the Halifax were very helpful and quick to respond. The loan was from 2003-2005.
My question is, can I claim back the PPI I was misold from a Yorkshire bank loan from 1999-2003. I've tried the same approach as I did with the Halifax asking for my account details but they say they don't keep records longer than 7 years back? Is this true and is there anything I can do?
I also had PPI on a car finance agreement for which I no longer have any paperwork is there anything I can do here?
Many Thanks0 -
I've read the FAQs and fear I may be on shaky ground re dates, previous attempts to reclaim.
I took out a £25,000 PL with RBS in Feb 2004. On confirming some details in a phonecall, I was told that in light of my poor banking record (not terrible but it was a consolidation of cc and an existing PL) and because of the high amount of the loan, PPI was compulsory. It was made clear I would not get the loan if I declined PPI.
In 2006 or 07, when PPI reclaim first became news, I wrote to my bank about it. The reply was that they did not agree it was missold but would cancel the premiums if I was that unhappy. Unfortunately, I no longer have that letter.
On my credit file, the loan shows as settled in November 2007 but other than the inception and settlement dates shown there, I have no record of dates.
Is it worth requesting my paperwork, given the time elapsed and that those who have previously attempted a reclaim are less likely to win? If I do claim, is it even worth mentioning my previous reclaim attempt? I think that letter was from my branch only, so might not be in RBS files.0 -

Was the PPI "front loaded" onto the loan in a single monthly premium? If so, you have a good chance on that basis alone.0 -
Hi there
Even though the adviser confirmed it was optional, you were still told that without the PPI your account would probably be declined, so in this case you accepted it, optionally or not, basically then it was like as if you did not have that choice, or not account/credit card.
You need to give them as much information as possible (stand your ground) be polite but firm, that you clearly remember the sale process very well, and you now believe it was unfair to be told it was optional but to accept it, or no credit card.
This is a good reason and add anything that may apply to you.
Did they actually explain how the policy worked, and the interest?
And what about pre medical conditions, were there any at the time you take this out?
Were you in full time employment, or unemployed, or maybe working part time hours?
The list is endless, so anything that applies to you, then make sure you mention all that does.
You can always add for further information: if they have reason to believe it was sold to you correctly, if they will also provide you with the concrete evidence of this.
Keep at them, good luck, you will get there.:)
Hiya,
Can I just ask is working part time a reason for it being missold??

I was just being impatient wondering if anyone roughly knows how much i should expect, also so that i know what they offer me is enough. Loan 1 was in april 2002 for 4000 with ppi of 982 with interest, frontloaded onto the loan, loan 2 was taken in aug 2003, paying off the other and i recieved 271.00 interest rebate. this loan was over 60 months 7000 and the ppi was 2500 with interest. Any idea of what i may receive?
thanks guys
they recieved my SAR yesterday (blackhorse)to do with seven loans and I think they were all front loaded0
