    Hi amersall,

I wanted to ask if this website is okay and safe because it asks for your card details.

I know it says it's free for life BUT if they have your card details surely they could take money any time they like, or am I being paranoid?

This site was mentioned on this forum a couple of days ago by a poster who has used this site, I am not fully up to date with this myself as I have not used them.

If you are worried, and rightly so if they are asking for card details, then go on experian, sign up for the 30 day free trial and then cancel within the 30 days, they ask for card details too but if you cancel in the time frame then they do not take the monthly fee, failing that you could just pay the £2 for your credit report.

Hopefully the poster who mentioned noddle may see this post and maybe put your mind at rest.

No, I'd be wary of this as well. If, as claimed, it's "free for life" then with what justification can they request users to provide credit or debit card details? Beware.

Hi all, I'm new to this site BUT really need some help.
I had a mortgage for many years before my marriage ended in 2009. I don't know if it had PPI but I am assuming it did PURELY on the fact that it was arranged by a financial advisor. The thing is, I don't want to go back to the F.A. as he is a very good friend of my ex & I know the minute I enquire, he'll be straight on the phone to him telling him what I plan to do. How can I find out IF it was on our mortgage without going back to him? I had a bad enough time getting my maiden name put on the mortgage & Santander aren't the easiest people to deal with. ANY SUGGESTIONS????? Thanks

Was this mortgage in joint names originally?, if it was and you had PPI and can make a claim, then you and your ex have to make the claim, without permission from the ex then this will not get you anywhere, some MPPI is not reclaimable anyway.

Just because the Mortgage was done through a FA does not mean that there was PPI on there.

If this Mortgage was in your name only you could request the info the FA holds on you by completing a Sar request, this will get you the info you need but this has to be sent to the FA as they sold you the Mortgage and Insurance if there is any.
You would be better posting your question here

They know more about this PPI, it would help if you mentioned the type of Mortgage this was.
Hope you get the answers to this.

my friend told me today that she has tried to reclaim for the ppi on her mortgage, but got a letter from building society today stating that it was her financial advisor that sold her ppi and therefore was the one to mis-advised her. She can't remember exactly where the financial advisor came from but thought it was one recommended by he biolding society. Any idea if there is anything she can do.
Post your question here regarding this

they know more about MPPI and if it is reclaimable, it is the FA that you put any claim for mis sell into.

Re the Credit Card, if you have reasons for mis sell and the card number then put a complaint in, look here for reasons for mis sell and good luck x.

Put that this was cancelled when realised it would not have covered, you are making the claim now due to the media coverage PPI mis sell has.

    Evening All

I really want to get going on this but need some advise please :-)

I have had plenty of credit cards in the past, but, when i moved house, i threw away all my statements! :-( All my debts were passed to debt collection agencies, and then I got my act together and got one company to manage the payments (moneysolve)

I'm pretty sure I would have been paying PPI, but I don't have any account numbers! :-( How do I find out? I have an experien thing, which lists all the agencies i borrowed money from, but no account numbers. Nightmare! Anyone got any ideas?

Any help would be greatly recieved!

    Thanks
Ask moneysolve if they have the account numbers, these must have been given them to do the repayments, failing that on your Credit report there should be 4 digits at the side of each product, you can use these to do a Sar request to each bank ( if you have a Loan and CC with one bank then only do one Sar), ask for all info they hold on you and enclose £10.

If you have PPI and you have reasons for mis sell then do the claim yourself, do not use a claims co, moneysolve may ask you to let them do this, they may not but be wary, you will get all the help you need to make the claims on this site for free, do not pay anyone to do the claim that you can do for free.
  • Can anyone help, I have settled my IVA early but am awaiting my completion certificate, I am also awaiting a PPI psyment which will go towards increasing my dividend. Can anyone tell me regarding windfalls how the Statutory interest calculated?

  • Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help or point me in the right direction with the issue I have.

In 2006 I arranged a Loan for my RETIRED Father through Intelligent Finance. I requested that all information be sent via myself as my father kind of financially naive(Old School). I declined the offer of PPI as he was RETIRED and already had house and life insurance via Lloyds TSB. The loan went through fine and my father happily paid every month.

However, in June 2007 a representative called from IF called my Father informing him that even though he was retired and had insurance it did not sufficiently cover him(for what, no-one knows). My very naively agreed to the PPI and thus signed the paper work adding £4k to his loan. Luckily, within 26 months he was able to pay off the loan.

Unfortunately this episode was only highlighted to me as I was clearing out his old papers earlier this year(it’s ok his still alive, just messy). I promptly contact IF who told me this has to go through Halifax. I went to the Halifax website, completed the form and sent via registered post the original copy of the paperwork, the completed form and again asked that all information came through myself. This was sent on the 8th Feb. When I had not received a response by the 2ord Feb I contact the Halifax PPI team and asked whether they had received the information, I was told they hadn’t but it may take some time to get onto their system. I gave them until the 28th Feb called back and made the complaint over the phone where my father was able to verify that I was the contact. That same week the letter I had sent was returned to me informing me that they could not find the correct team. Since I had raised the complaint on the 28th Feb I had been given a case reference and sent the documents by fax to the team to include with the complaint and give written confirmation of my authority. A letter was sent to my father dated the 1st March confirming the case had been raised and would be promptly dealt with.

Here starts my real issues, I contacted the team repeatedly to gain a sense on whether this was being dealt with and was repeatedly told that it was being “investigated”. We I still had not received any further acknowledgement by week 8 I finally snapped and wrote a note to them on FaceBook and Twitter. I was finally contacted by Sean of their social media team on Thursday 19th April who agreed, being told that this was being investigated when it blatantly wasn’t was exceptionally frustrating for any customer. He admitted that they were a little behind but I should get an update by 28th April. Boy did I!

I called the Halifax PPI team on Tuesday 24th April, the response I received was “ The final response has been sent and due to the incorrect account number we cannot continue” ............... The account number is on the agreement sent and the form I was told HAD to be completed. When this was pointed out to the Halifax team, there was response was oh we put an extra 2 in by mistake. Meaning the form and the agreement I sent has not been looked at? There response was to say they will escalate back to the “back office” and ask for a call back. This however could take up to 28 working days!!!!!!!!!

I asked whether I could speak to the back office and was told no, I then asked to speak to a manager to escalate and waited on-line for 2 hours. I really am near to a breakdown trying to deal with this company.

I obviously sent this to the Ombudsman now, but I want to write a letter to CEO as the customer service is appalling. Does anyone have a the e-mail address and I have been told they do not have this information anywhere within their company. Also if anyone has any other idea’s to highlight this so it will actually be looked I am all ears

    Thanks in advance.

We cannot post the email address for the ceo, we have been black listed by this forum, google ceo email and it is osario you look for.

This is a complete farce, I hope the Halifax bring this to a conclusion and do not wait and go through the FOS as the wait there is well over a year.
I wish you luck and please keep us posted as to the outcome.
