Right guys first of all let me start by saying what a wonderful help this site has been . lots of people i know have made ppi claims and used brokers to help claim the money back, so without this site i would have done the same. SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH
last month i sent off to reclaim ppi on 4 credit cards that i have had in the past and believe ppi was miss sold on them all (2 with mbna and 2 with lloyds tsb) 1 of the mbna ones have already paid out and the other i have been told is being investigated further
the lloyds ones i have heard nothing other than letter to say they where looking into things. that was until today when i recieved 2 phone call from lloyds saying that they needed more details from me. each time they asked me the same questions what year did i start working for the company i was with when i took out the cards, what was my job title, how would i have been covered if i had been out of work and also did i have any other ways to make payments if i wasnt working. the thing is i answered these questions when filling in my initial claims forms. is this just a case of lloyds using stalling tatics?? has anyone else recieved similar call from them??
after they had asked me these questions i asked if the claims where being upheld but they just said they would know by the end of today and couldnt tell me anymore Grrrrrr0 -

SOOOO Happy that I found this forum about PPI! I love it when I see people getting their money back. I understand why all the pensioners keep their money under the mattress now! Its helped me no end... just got to wait for the money to come in now - awful when you realise how much they are taking off you underhand... Naughty banks!!

Hi, I had a bank loan with the Halifax from 2002 - 2004 and have followed the guidance on claiming back my PPI charges.
I'm pleased to say today they offered me £1197.63. Made up of £421.67 Refund of payment, £270.60 Refund of Interest @9.3% and £505.36 Interest @8%.
This is all great news, however I wanted some advice on whether to accept this offer or hold out for more? I was initially sold PPI having being told I needed this to be accepted for the loan AND in 2003 I did actually try to make use of the PPI whilst off work after having my appendix removed and they refused to payout, which effectively made it worthless!
I also had a loan with Yorkshire Bank from 1999 - 2002 again I was told I needed PPI to be accepted, is this too old to claim for?
Many Thanks in advance for any help/info.0 -

Never cancel loan PPI as they will reset the loan and your term and apr could go up, if you win mis sell then the loan will be reset and the whole PPI amount taken off the loan and the loan will continue with the same term and apr.
You should cancel Credit Card PPI as this is a monthly payment and makes no difference to the account.0 -

If you paid the PPI in with the loan monthly payment then this is Single Premium PPI that you pay back to term end with interest, this is the most upheld of all PPI reclaims.0
