Sorry, you can delete the additional ones, wasn't sure which thread was best to post in!
:D it's ok no worry
:D leave them, you never know you may get inundated with replies, do as I said in one of your other posts, ask them to consider your request, if they won't, then take this to FOS with the reasons you think they should offer you something.

I'm so glad I plucked up the courage to phone and ask how my complaint was going.
They spoke to me very nicely and at least Ash had logged my complaint like he said he would:)
I think they probably had got the forms but hey we will never know.
They will certainly have them this time around:cool::cool: and to the correct address.:D

Hello
I have been offered a refund from Halifax for my mortgage protection plan. However they are only refunding the mortgage repayment section. Has anyone ever got them to refund the life cover and critical illness cover. They have not given their reason for the refund or in any way said that they were in the wrong.
I know I can go to the FOS but risk the possibility of losing the current refund offered. I have no knowledge of what record or basis Halifax have made their decision on.

I had a mortgage with Bradford and Bingley with which I was sold PPI. How would I go about claiming? Would it be Santander or the Financial ombudsman? Any ideas?
You need to post this here

They know more about MPPI than we do.0 -
Hi, I wonder if someone could tell me if I can reclaim Payment Protection on my mortgage. I moved my mortgage to C&G in 2002 and have been paying about £10.50 per month for the last 10 years. This was something I hadn't asked for but was added on to my mortgage. If anyone could tell me it would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Regards, Stuart.

Hi,
I've been going through the PPI claim process with HSBC, they sent me details of 3 loans I had with PPI and I sent back 3 PPI questionnaires printed off from here/fos filled in with my claim info.
Now they've sent me a letter asking me to fill in the same questionnaire if I haven't already done so.
Am assuming I don't need to send them off again, but wondered if anyone had been in the same situation, not sent them again and the claim has carried on as normal?

Hi Di3004,
Thank you for your quick response earlier today and I think I may have hit the jackpot (well i hope). The loan was taken out in Sept 2001, but PPI commenced 11/10/2001 & was due to expire on 2/10/2006. PPI amount was £2776.11. I have a schedule & certificate of insurance & on bottom it states:-
'This certificate is underwritten by:CGNU Life Assurance Ltd, Head & Registered Office - 2 Rougier Street, York, YO90 1UU Company Registered No.226742.
CGU Underwriting Ltd, Head & Registered Office - St.Helens, 1 Undershaft, London, EC3P 3DQ
Company Registered No. 94405
Date - 1st January 1999'
And I believe from checking that CGNU on FSA Register these were 'No Longer authorised' on/after 6/10/2010 and that the FSA imposed a £1.26m financial penalty with them on 17/12/2007 as it breached principle 3 (by failing to take reasonable care to organise and control its affairs responsibly and effectively, with adequate risk management systems. Norwich Union Life did not take reasonable care to establish and maintain effective systems and controls for countering the risks that the firm might be used to further financial crime, specifically the risks relating to the security of confidential customer information and the consequential risk of the surrender of customer policies to third parties impersonating its customers)!!
Please could you advise me on where I need to go next as I've finally got the bullet in the teeth after all these years of trying and appreciate your help.
Thanks:A
I am of course a newbie and was wondering if you could give me some advice on the above and where to go now with this. Do i go back to GE Money or FOS???
Confused.
Thank you0
