got acount numbers from blackhorse that all had ppi on but no paperwork the loans were joint with my wife.would I be better getting all info with a sar letter and if so can it be a joint letter with one £20.00 payment.plus the loans were at a previous property and they have all been paid off.sorry for so many questions.
If you had PPI, have the account numbers and reasons for mis sell then just do the claim, put the old address the loans were taken out at and your present address for them to contact you at.

Can you remember if the PPI on these loans was paid in with the loan monthly payment? if it was then Single Premium is a good reason for mis sell this is the PPI on the loan with interest to loan end date.

If you do a Sar, on a joint loan you only need one £10 fee.

Isent a letter detailing the account nos and the reasons why I was missold ppi and I also sent a copy of MBNA letter and advised that they would be sending all my paperwork over.

Prob I assumed all my questionaire etc would be forwarded as MBNA were able to tell me that my ppi was taken out in 2001 but I am not sure if Santander have received this as it took three days to make a decision since receiving my letter.

I have two statements from 2004 and 2007 showing abbey credit card and ppi being taken so can go back to 2004

There is not much to get but I want them to take reponsibility for misselling even to acknowledge it not just dimissing it outright

sorry bit long winded but have my draft for ceo and paperwork scanned and ready to go.

I have been banking with them for over 25 years and believe they owe me a bit better customer service that this

I sent my email off to CEO on 14th April and someone rang me on Monday 16th from ppi complaints saying they had no records.

Now after speaking to MBNA who I found more helpful than Santander they have redressed me from 2001-date and have received the cheque etc and the time in question is 1996-2001. They say the have sent docs to Santander but they go in bulk so not sure if it has gone or to go and tbh think Santander prob using them as a doorstop :rotfl:

So was not going to bother for the five years before but the way the person spoke to me at Santander had made me rethink as I say do not even think I used card that much in the first years but it is a matter of principle. I have sent my fee and request to MBNA for sar to see what it holds and Santander has give me a prepaid enevelope and it marked to go direct to this person dealing with my claim

What I would like to know is would MBNA have sent over the docs if there wasnt any sign of ppi 1996-2001? They stated on my settlement letter that they had sent all docs to previous lender for them to consider redress and when I spoke to them on phone they said to me Santander/Abbey sold you ppi so up to them to look at it but until I get sar not sure what is there and it could take ages and Santander's attitude stinks.

My son has received all the statements and calculated the amount paid, which he wants to reclaim.

What does he now need to do, is there a template?

    Thanks!

    Hi and welcome

There is a reclaim questionnaire, these were issued by the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) for customers to use to make a reclaim to the business who set up and sold the account.
(This replaced the template letters), but remember to keep copies.

You do not need to apply the calculations to the complaint questionnaire, but they should send you a breakdown to let you know what is what when resolved. Or you can ask for these details on request if they do not enclose them.

The reclaim questionnaire you will find on step 3 below, good luck on your reclaiming.

    Hi there
I would defo contact them about this.

However, sometimes on SAR requests, even though the data dept hold the main of the details, sometimes what they do not hold the bank will still hold these details themselves, for example, when I SAR'd Lloyds, they sent me 2 big bulks, separately and I questioned them on what I think was missing, ok they were very old accounts and it appeared when I emailed Lloyds directly they emailed back with details of all loans that had ppi on them.

    Do contact them, good luck.

Hi, I had a bank loan with the Halifax from 2002 - 2004 and have followed the guidance on claiming back my PPI charges.

I'm pleased to say today they offered me £1197.63. Made up of £421.67 Refund of payment, £270.60 Refund of Interest @9.3% and £505.36 Interest @8%.

This is all great news, however I wanted some advice on whether to accept this offer or hold out for more? I was initially sold PPI having being told I needed this to be accepted for the loan AND in 2003 I did actually try to make use of the PPI whilst off work after having my appendix removed and they refused to payout, which effectively made it worthless!

I also had a loan with Yorkshire Bank from 1999 - 2002 again I was told I needed PPI to be accepted, is this too old to claim for?

Many Thanks in advance for any help/info.

    Well done on your success!

Many have still made successful wins on accounts going back into the 90's, if you know you were sold ppi and have your reasons to reclaim, go for it, good luck.

    Hi and welcome

You can still continue to make a reclaim on the PPI, as long as you have your account numbers and reasons, do not worry about the calculations, because you do not need to apply these details to the complaint - they should send you a breakdown on request or automatically once succeeded.

Below is the reclaim questionnaire, send to the business who sold the account to you, and keep copies as well, good luck.

    Hi there

As amersall says, they should do this when they resolve your complaint, although you are entitled to cancel at any time, good luck.

    Hi

The mortgage agreement if you still have this will enclose details of any PPI, or you could try contacting the lender directly who should confirm.;)

Grrrrrr, i'm now starting to get a little bit annoyed with Santander!!
I originally sent back my acceptance letter along with copy of marriage certificate on 12th March, they told me it would be 10 working days until i received the cheque. I hadn't heard anything so I phoned to check they had received it on 30th March. They told me they hadn't received it and in any case they also needed a recent utility bill to prove my change of address. They sent me a new acceptance form and i returned it with my marriage certificate and a utility bill by recorded delivery on 30th March. Checked post office track and trace and it was delivered on 2nd April.
Still hadn't heard anything so i phoned them on 16th April, they are still saying they hadn't received it (i told them it had def been delivered but they gave me a story that it hadn't got onto their system yet, after 2 weeks i find that hard to believe!!!)
They sent me another acceptance form in the post to sign and return and told me to fax it to them (they can't email it as apparently its not as secure as faxing!) That arrived yesterday so i signed it and faxed it to them this morning along with my marriage certificate and utility bill.
I have just phoned them and they are now saying they haven't received it onto their system and that it could take up to 3 days for them to pick the fax up and update their system in order to get my refund cheque sent to me..........This has now been going on for over a month, posted twice and faxed once, I think i might explode!!!!!
    Rant over...sorry about that!
