If you consolidated the first loan into the second, you should have received a rebate for the remaining PPI. Likewise if you paid the second loan off early you should also have had a rebate.

    You are claiming for:
    (£2744.50 - rebate) + (£5863.25 - rebate).
You should also receive the extra interest back and I think the 8% flat rate also.

I have never recieved a rebate from them, so looks like I should get both amounts back plus interest, thank you for the advice.

    Hi Guys,

I am wondering if somebody could help me i have taken out three loans as follows: -

    Loan 1 - Loan amount £2000 - PPI Amount £413.71 - Interest 26.5% - Period 50 months
(Loan was settled for £2142 on month 10 after 7 payments of £81.52) (1st payment 2-3m later)

    Loan 2 - Loan amount £3000 - PPI Amount £716.45 - Interest 21.9% - Period 62 months
(Loan was settled for £3312 on month 5 after 2 payments of £101.78) (1st payment 2-3m later)

    Loan 3 - Loan amount £5000 - PPI Amount £2180.64 - Interest 21.4% - Period 86 months
(Loan was settled for £5572 on month 14 after 11 payments of £162.84) (1st payment 2-3m later)

To pay off the final loan i took out a loan of £5572 without PPI and i am currently half way through the term and paying £136.43 monthly.

I have put my claim in for the PPI i am just trying to calculate the claim amount, can you see from the above that the PPI was paid off in full or part. it is very confusing? Also i never received a rebate for the PPI unless they included this in the settlement fee, i have full paperwork and it doesnt state this.

The reason for the claim is front loading, i am a LG employee with excellent sickness benefits and pension (includes death grant) which was explained and they still pushed PPI also i was told taking PPI would greatly improve my chances of getting the loan approved as it was less risk to the bank.

    Thanks

Bloody hell. I won. Its only taken 4 years..... but the FOS found in my favour. I just need to sit and understand all the blurb on the forms now (acceptance already ticked and stuck in a envelope, will go signed for delivery on Monday)

*apologies for the language but its been a long trek.

    (Moved from the sucess/failure thread)

Received a reply from MBNA stating they are turning down by complaint as I had ticked a box for PPI, thus it was a non-advised sale. They enclosed a photocopy of the agreement which shows that I have ticked the box.

I had raised a complaint as I could have sworn that this policy was sold to me over the phone...

They have also stated that this is their final decision and to go to the FOS should I wish to take it further.

What are my options now? As far as I can see, I have none : I ticked the box

Hi sassy i would suggest if they cannot prove this i would give them the option of making you an offer before it gets sent to the fos.

I have raised a PPI complaint with three companies : Natwest, MBNA and the Coop

    Letters were sent : 14/02

Acknowledgement from MBNA and Coop after nine days

So far I have heard anything from Natwest, phoned them today as apparently as of yet I am not on the system...

Does anyone know how long it takes Natwest (HBOS?) to acknowledge a complaint?

Timescales for claims for all three would be nice as well

    Many thanks

    I
They have 14 days to send you an acknowledgment, they then have a further 6 weeks to give you a final response.

Has anyone had any success with PPI on car hire purchase. We purchased our car from Mitzubisi. The finance was provided by Shogun Finance underwritten by LTSB. Who do you think I should send the questionaire too? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

If this has insurance and it was mis sold to you, put a claim into Mitsubishi.

Spoke to the FSCS earlier. Again, a total waste of time. We're not prepared to waste another second of our lives with this crap anymore. I checked the loan agreement and it clearly states that upon full repayment the loan will have cost £13,259. We've already paid £13,020 and will make another £500 of payments. If the f***ers want anymore they are going to have to sue us.

    do not believe this.
Is your sis being compensated for 90% of the total ppi amount, or is that what is owed when she gets the compensation from FSCS?.
