Hi all and I hope you are all having a good weekend, just to let you all know will be away all week due to family commitments. Should be back on answering posts again Saturday 10Th march, hope you all have a good week, will pop in for a peek every now and then as time allows, if there's anything specific (apart from calculations) send a pm and hopefully I'll pick it up. He said the process would take around 2 weeks but that had already been sent off prior to my phone call.
I'm getting a bit worried now as it seems a long time to wait or am i just getting anxious for no reason?
How long do you normally have to wait and would it be worth another phone call?
Don't worry fifitrixiejane, give them time to do their thing. You have the uphold, it's at the payment stage, give it another week or so they are normally quite good at payingSuccesses

Tnx for your reply Dilus.
One card is 2006 & one is 2007. So banks should still have my records. Will make contact with them direct & ask if I was paying PPI.
Thanks very much for your help. Happy Sunday :j0 -

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Hi
I need some advice regarding a PPI claim against First National (now GE Money). Loan was taken out in 2002 to be paid off over a period of 240months. Loan paid off early in 2007. I sent the standard ppi claim letter to GE Money in January they have replied with a full and final response saying that as the loan was sold through a broker, the broker is responsible for mis sell. Unfortunately the Broker went into administration in 2010 so I contacted FSCS. The FSCS advised me that as the loan and ppi were sold pre 2005 they cannot help.
The insurance policy underwriter is Cardiff Pinnacle, should I try and claim them or write back to GE Money?
I was under the impression that the broker I used was acting as an agent for GE Money.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Am having real trouble claiming money ack from both Barclays and Halifax.
The loan with Barclays was from 2001 and I just got a straight no as it was before they had signed up to some agreement.
Halifax agreed to pay me £4300. They sent me a cheque for £1600 and that's been it. It's been 2 months now since I had the £1600 and every time I ring up I keep getting fobbed off with excuses that it's being escalated and they are very sorry it's taking this long.
I'm fed up now as I don't know what else I can do. I have it in writing they have agreed £4300 they tell me that's what I'm owed on the phone but still no money b
I don't know what else I can do.0 -
Hi
I sent letter to company I used to have credit card with, they have said as the account is now closed they are under no obligation to comply with a request for a copy of the executed agreement under the Consumer Credit Act as we no longer have a contractual relationship relating to this account. The right to be provided with this information from the lender ended with the closure of this account.
Is this correct?
thanks0 -
I assume this was closed long before the one you have won with?.
Don't think a Sar will help with this due to the time, you could try and see what you get back, they should give you all info they hold on you, it could be that this loan may show up?, nothing ventured nothing gained!.

Thank you for the reply
How are things with you i hope you are keeping well and being good:p
I have never done a Sar before,i have heard of them on this tread and thats about it
I understand a Sar only goes back a certain number of years on a account and i agree with you nothing ventured nothing gained so i might just send a letter off, thank you for the link,if i do have somthing back from a Sar what sort of proof would it be,would it be like a copy of the original loan policy sorry to sound i bit thick but my brain is not working today well i don't think it works anyday to tell you the truth:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I had a claim in with Barclays i had a letter back saying that they was not paying out and in the letter they sent me it said that i could not go to the FOS,i know i was paying PPI on this loan because i had the original policy
So i phoned the FOS to tell them about my situation well to cut a long story short i had a letter this week off the FOS saying i have won my claim with Barclaysi only got in contact with the FOS Janurary of this year and the loan was from 1999
so give the FOS a call for this one, so don't give up keep at them
If you got it in writing from Halifax that they was going to pay out to you the sum of £4300 i would send them a copy of the letter with a letter saying that you are still waiting for your money and that you have telephone them a few time with no joy or answers to when you will receive your money from them and give them a few weeks to reply back to you and if they don't, get on to the FOS, always send by recorded delivery for proof
Good luck and i will keep my fingers crossed for you0
