Thanks so much for the swift response!!
Hopefully, M&S will respond with the information soon, without you having to prompt them.
Strange that they are "looking into" your enquiry and very telling that they are so reluctant to disclose information that you'd need if you were making a claim on your policy (rather than a complaint about it)

This would be the PPI AND loan repayments bundled together in a single monthly premium, with the whole PPI policy added to the loan to attract extra interest .
You need your SAR to find out more...

Hi, I sent off my letter to FSCS last week regarding a loan from Welcome Finance and recieved the money in my bank today and a breakdown letter. I am hoping someone can check the amount I recieved is correct as I was expecting more - probably being greedy but thought I would pass it by the experts first...
Below is a breakdown of my loan/repayments and was hoping you could hazard a guess as to what I got:

Amount of credit provided - £4293.00, £808 PPI included in this amount.
Monthly repayments over 24months of £274.
I settled the loan after 18 payments of £274 with a settlement payment of £1378.04.
Also bare in mind the FSCS only give back 90% of the claim...
You have done well with this, you have the whole PPI back and interest, they took away the rebate they gave for early settlement and the cost of " Insurance" that you "would have taken out instead of the PPI" beggars belief this does  what makes them think you would have taken any Insurance??, talk about the regulators looking after the Financial Institutions, lets make sure Welcome get some money back!!.

You've misunderstood this one, Lorraine. The poster is inviting us to guess how much the redress offer is based on what his original loan terms were.

Well, sent my complaint off to FOS today. I didn't have the original questionnaire because I didn't make a copy but I did have some correspondence from them regarding their rejection and a few quotes from my phone conversation with them. I also pointed out to FOS that I think these loans were mis-sold on the grounds of them being 'front loaded. Wish me luck.

    Skint:think:

    Good luck :):):)
