So I'd need to have my old financial information on file and available?0

Thanks Antrobus..but I am still baffled as to what I have been paying for..what is CPP if it's not PPI...PPI was not mentioned anywhere ..it was called card holder repayment protector..it's some years later that first direct have said I indicated I would like to include PPI as an option..I think it's misleading to say I accepted card repayment protection..is that PPI by another name...you indicate it's a different thing0

Hi there,
I have just used the PPI tool for claiming back PPI. If I am unsuccessful, will I still be able to use the Plevin tool after today's deadline?
Thanks0 -

Yes, but you’d need that also if you were going through a CMC - they can’t magic up information about where you may have held PPI. You have to tell them and they would then email that bank and ask/complain - exactly the same as you would have to do.
They take no ‘effort’ out of complaining, often making it worse and then you have to pay them.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -

No but lenders will automatically review for Plevin as part of your original complainthelpful tips

The thing is I can't remember all the companies in my life I've had accounts with and credit / debit cards or loans etc etc0

PPI application online by NatWest was rejected because I don't have a UK postcode or UK phone number.
I gave my Irish phone numbers + postcode. When I clicked 'Submit' the following popped up
"Warning this form cannot be submitted for the following reasons:
'Postcode' please a valid UK postcode.
'Mobile Telephone' Please check the mobile phone entered below has eleven digits and begins with 07.
They have an overseas box on the address section of the application.
I'd be grateful if anyone knows a way around this impasse.0 -

You could try telephoning them, but the lines are jammed and are likely to remain so for the remainder of the day...0 -

If your complaint fails, however, the Bank will check for Plevin eligibility as a matter of course.
Was the finance you are complaining about still in place in 2008? If not, Plevin won't apply in any case.0 -

I've spent the last couple of weeks recommending people don't use the Resolver tool ..... BUT .... it might give you a way out. You can submit a check or a claim to NatWest via Resolver and according to the MSE article here
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance/
Most banks, including NatWest, have agreed that submitting via Resolver by 11:59 tonight counts.
I don't *think* that Resolver needs a UK address and phone number, as they are just free-text fields.0
