Would you report a drug dealer???

I reported the young guy over the round from me to Crimestoppers for dealing. Nothing has happened so far but if it doesn't I will get on to the police, MP etc.
Even though the guy doesn't do his deals outside my house I still reported him. Drug dealers are scum in my eyes.
His parents seem respectable and are nice enough - we always say hello to each other and, a couple of times, have had a conversation. I did feel a bit rotten because of them but he is still a dealet no matter how nice they are. I don't see how they can't know what he is doing anyway. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
Id do a walk into the local police station and demand they act! if they have enough info on the adress etc they will just do a raid with dogs etc..they wont need you as a witness at all if drugs are found on the property.
as a mom with kids they are going to be seeing this on a daily basis, i sypathise as i live in a very rough part of town and see this on a daily basis, my teens are on a strict go to school and dont dawdle back....dont let them mix with those types etc. yeah i dont get on with half the people round here..i dont talk to them..but rather it be that way then just accept its part of life.
our police though drug wise are very good, as allways out with the dogs and doing stop checks on the more known offenders so i feel they have it under control and treat it serious.
its tragic though as last week there was tons of police outside and kids were still up so got all excited at the commotion and the police dogs..my 8 year old said "i bet its next door, hes allways drinkin drugs:eek::rotfl:" talk about out of the mouths of babes:(
any my lesson learnt is keep my mouth shut when talking about our loony neighbours if miss ears is listening:eek::o***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0 -
Why not report him to Crimestoppers and then see about launching a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in your street. If you can get lots of people involved with it and the signs go up, the little scroat will know that the residents are on the look-out for crime and he almost certainly won't risk it again.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

Could you put a security light to come on whenever anyone passes? If they are in bright light they would move.

well I called Crimestoppers 2 months ago and nothing at all has happened. So I emailed my local MP who refuses to do anything at all without my name and address. I called my local CID who said they do not deal with this and to call crimestoppers!!!
What the hell does it take to get a prolific drug dealer arrested? His dealings are worse than ever .... but maybe he knows that no-one in authority cares and he is laughing at the likes of me?1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31

There is, or actually there WAS, a lot of drug dealers in our street but they're slowly being evicted. They're all council tenants and several people in the street have reported them to the police and the council. When you see a gold BMW in our street you know it doesn't belong there! So someone phones the police every time. We have a Registered Residents' Group (we own our own home so it's not just for council tenants) and the local Community Police Officer and area Housing Officer attend regular meetings and we hassle them all the time.
Complaining en masse usually makes a difference.0 -

And if everyone thinks the way that you do, we'll descend into complete lawlessness. We have to trust that most of the police are trustworthy and will act - or do you advocate lynch law?0
