Hello all, just starting on the March budget, am aiming for £260 again. Just scraped in for Feb but was really pleased as it was my first challenge.

Have spent £45.86 so far but the cupboards, fridge and freezer are now full. Got to pop to horrorsons on fri for mushrooms (we have a really big breakfast on a sunday and garlic mushrooms are an essential part!) and think I might stock up on their basics pasta as the price seems to go up and down all the time (currently 30p for 500g).

I have bought some things ahead as they're on offer, have never really done that before (duh!). Am also thinking what we'll need over the course of a month, rather than week to week, if that makes sense!

    Good luck everyone :)

Just logging a(nother) spend of £11.95, on absolute carp that I could have done without!! I really think that writing it down is going to make me realise how much I could save.

I also had never clicked about buying deals that could do us later in the month. My head seems to be fixed at buying for the week, Those 3 for £10 meat deals suddenly could work to my favour. Duurrrrr!!!

Hopefully a no spend day tomorrow, unless I cave and get a bottle of wine!

been a bit of a fool today. let my mum convince me to go shopping with her. All I needed was a birthday card for my lil bro.
spent £3.20 in quality save on mostly rubbish, well 99p on seed spuds, 29p on part of a kids b'day pressi, the rest i didn't need
99p in greggs on pasties for me and mum..
...and £3 on olives from the speciality stall, really extravagant for me, yummy but feel a bit bad because you dont get much for your money and i could've bought a cheap jar of olives and tarted them up:o

oh and £1.80 on bogof utterly butterly. total to add to the grocery bill £7 (rounded up). I'm now aiming for 10 nsd on the run:cool:
at least i remembered to buy the card:rotfl:
