afternoon, all!
Am reporting first spend for MArch (even though my month doesn't technically start until tomorrow, but DH was at home this morning so did school runs whilst I managed an early attack on 2 sms
) A total spend across the 2 of £60.45 - which is pretty good and will see us nicely through to weekend, when we'll need more bread, milk, f&v etc... usual weekly bits n pieces
Most of the stuff I bought at T was on special offer. I was good, though and only bought Yorkies (yes, I know! - but so convenient when doing a roast for one though) and a pack of filo wrapped prawns for the freezer as it's still rammed and we need to eat out of it... For once, I actually felt like I got a lot for my money - I find it quite disheartening to go in and spend £40 and come out with 2 or 3 bags - I had 8 for my £60, and they were all full
T's price drop is it's usual con though - a drop of 10p on something they'd increased the price of by 20p ( or more!) a month ago... Could you put me down for £160 as I already have almost two weeks worth of dinners in storecupboard!

I found my self putting in double of what they said and found that the wm really suded (is that a word?) up. So next wash I put the recommended amount in and it was better. The clothes have come out lovely though I have to say, very impressed so far.
We use Kirkland too, and found out about the tiny amount to use the hard way! I do most my washing at 30 degrees and haven't had a problem except with heavily soiled things, which i soak and rewash at 40. Last time we purchased i think we paid about £17 for a 12.7kg tub(back in the pre-lbm days so guessing), but a tub lasts over a year and i do 8-12 washes per week. My friend leaves the lid off because she doesn't like the smell, but i like it:):hello:Wife & SAHM of 4 children aged between 9 and 3

That's good to know. I do an average of two washes a day so I will be quite happy with not having to get powder for nearly a year.
How does leaving the lid off help with the smell?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Think the smell will disappear quicker as it's opened. But it would mean her kitchen would smell of it for a while.... :rotfl:Can't think of anything smart to put here...0

I have just finished a HUGE tub of the Kirkland washing powder & was very pleased with it. But I now fill the tub with the value powder from Mr T's because I can't leave Costco without spending over £100 a visit..boo....:mad:0

I have just spent £8.82 today including a few veggies from the market. I have also upped my monthly budget to £120, I just cannot seem to keep within it lately.0

Another NSD here at Ninno's tower. I have just found out ha I have two guests staying tomorrow night - normally this would have resulted in panic buying in Mr T's and buying enough for a month instaed of one night. Instead I'm thinking about stretching my meal plan and the ingredients in the store cupboard for twink's hobnobs - sorted!44 day challenge
