Today I am stuck in doors with the doom and gloom of the work phone and book...... ring ring! ring ring! ring ring!

I have sent Mr Hinge shopping with a list and have cleared the fridge in preparation! 2 bedraggled leeks, 1 aubergine, 1.5 red peppers-wrinkled, 2 courgettes and I have made:

6 lunch portions of leek and potato soup frozen in single portions

A huge pan of veg sauce base combined with 1 onion and 3 tins of tomatoes to be split in 3 to make

4 portions of pasta sauce
6 portions of chillie with a tin of kidney beans and a good spoon of chillie powder
6 portions of curry with a tin of chickpeas and a handful of lentils, a sprinkle of turmic and a good spoon of curry sauce!

not a bad way to stock the freezer with quick go to meals! :money:

I don't think I have any tips for the food budget battle I meal plan, do a shopping list and still go over budget, and that's shopping in ald!.
I have been baking goodies for lunch boxes and have tried to cut down on the amount of fruit I buy.
Gone are the days of getting a trolley full for £50!!!!

Oh dear, hope Mr Hinge bucks his ideas up. Give him a bang on the head, it worked for Mr PLMBL :rotfl:.

Good to hear you and Supermans school are doing well, it's always difficult being at war with their education, they spend so much time there.

Any advice for one to one swimming for the King. Did you find a specialised instructor? He is still non verbal but really want to start early. He does swim in arm bands though but it would be nice to advance to the next stage.

I stumbled upon his swimming teacher at a swim party :rotfl: she teaches adults to swim and also disabled adults and children. I think most private swim instuctors have clients that need more thent eh classes can give. if you are involved with your local parent carer forum they maybe able to help with recommendations or if you are on facebook there are local support groups for children with additional needs and again they may have personal recommendations!

I need to do something life has become very mundane!

Mr Hinge and Mr HaW need to their heads banging together, Mr Hinge's logic is completly inside out and back to front and bugs the hell out of me! :rotfl:
