How did it go this morning? Was he ok last night?
Evening Haw!
Superman spent the evening bouncing on his gym ball and pacing the floor. He finally dropped off at 5am this morning and up again a hour later. He reluctantly went in to school having been wrestled off my leg.
He came out at the end of the day and gave me the biggest hug, he appears very subdued and clingy but he is in one piece with all limbs in tact! :A
How has everyone elses day been?

5am:eek: I still cannot get use to it and its been 4 years. Thankfully grandma Stripes has been with us since March and she lets me have a lie in the morning to deal with the King. She is leaving October
I have been carp at prepping the King to be honest Mrs HingeI have been trying to fit in as much activities for the King to process happy memories to combat the stress of school.
The King had a photoshoot today for an autism calendar, he loved the attention and enjoyed being in the spot light.
Fingers crossed Superman settles into the school routine. Stay strong Mrs Hinge you are fab x0 -

This is what we have been doing, filling the holidays and weekends full of joy and happy times in the hope it will deflect Superman away from the school issues.
:j:j for the photo shoot that is fantastic! I didn't know they did such a thing.... you will have to post a link when it is up for sale so I can buy one
Preparations for Master Hinges birthday begin today  Sess pit of horrors to clean  rainbow cake to bake, presents to wrap and kitchen to build, balloons to blow up, banners to hang and food shopping to do for the tiny party tea party we are having with a few friends ( which I am yet to invite!)
Superman is sulking he doesn't like birthdays at the best of times but even less so when they are for somebody else and he doesn't get the presents! :rotfl:

How do you do it Mrs Hinge, the idea of a party in an Asd household and baking  Although rainbow cake mmmmmmmmm is worth it.
How was Superman today? I am counting down the days and I am feeling more anxious than the King it seems. He does take a while to process things so hopefully by the time he has done that its home time
I didn't enter the King for the calendar at first as he has Mr Stripes looksI think they needed a minority to feature
so we were invited to feature. Plus we got a freebie family pic too
well chuffed. It's always difficult to take a decent picture of the king he is never still and never looks at the camera.

I am just mental :rotfl:
Superman will no doubt hide in his bedroom with his iPad chilling and I have come to accept that him been up there alone is his choice and in reality he is alot happier for his "down" time.:rotfl:He will come up and down all day to see people on his terms and eat the cake :rotfl:
I bake alot as it helps with the food bill, it helps that Superman enjoys baking and he mixes and leaves me the washing up! Thank goodness for my dishwasher :rotfl::rotfl:
The only nice pictures we have of Superman are the ones done professionally at preschool/school as he thinks he is a model and poses, eye contact, smile and everything..... all the ones we take he is looking the otherway, head down with gritted teeth

:j:j:j It's the weekend!!_party_
Well Master Hinge's birthday went fantastic  rainbow cake gorgeous and I have been asked to make some cupcakes for a baby shower next week and a cake for a birthday party the week after  fingers crossed! The money will be be used to treat myself to some new cake trays, flower cutters and icing toolswhy what a exciting life I lead :rotfl:
Lovely back payment from tax credits midweek of £2k :eek:due to them messing up the disability premiums last year.... I have rang them 3 times now to make sure they wont want it back next week :rotfl: I am been very sensible, new shoes for both Mr Hinge and myself, I have bills money put aside so I am a month a head, I have ordered Superman a weighted blanket and other sensory bits and the rest is squirreled away in new car savings. I have booked an appointment at the hair dressers for a cut and colour... first in 15months
Miss Hinge saw the orthotic people and will be getting specialist boots with splints to try and stop her falling over. Fantastic man who gave some real advice and talked to Miss Hinge on the level, he also advised we push for Miss Hinge to see a genetic screening person as there is more to her then HMS. We are still waiting on her DLA reconsideration after they turned her down.
Superman and Miss Hinge went to a soft play evening lastnight just for children with special needs and they had a ball! to be honest so did I :rotfl:I talked to so many amazing parents and found out about so much "hidden" support I will look in to.
Our Tickets arrives from MMW for lego discovery in manchester, valid until this time next year so will plan ahead for a weekend trip and find a travel lodge deal when they do £9 a room :money:
Food wise we are keeping track of every penny to get a better idea of where the food budget goes
this weeks meals look like:
Sunday Roast chicken dinner
Monday chicken casserole with dumplings, mash and Y Puds
Tuesday Sausage, mash and frozen veggies
Wednesday Hm Pizza, Garlic bread and wedges
Thursday Gammon steaks with oven chips, egg and peas
Friday Lasange with Hm garlic breads
Saturday Steak with peppercorn sauce, jacket potato and peas
:eek:Alot more meat but should stop Mr Hinge from getting his eat out at the pub urges! :rotfl:
breakfasts will be cereal, sausages cobs and Hm oatie bars
Lunches will be pack ups sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt/jelly/custard with crisps, Something on toast/soup for Mr Hinge
Trip to asda and aldi later for supplies.
Hope everyone has had a good week, Stripe I hope the King continued to go to school happy

I've added more meat into our meal plans too as DH & DS1 were moaning all the time about the veggie options. Didn't have the strength to battle them just yet, will reserve that for next month maybe
Great news on the £2k back payment! :T we had a big payment from them this year too as they'd underpaid us I also called to check before spending it on anything

Yay to new hair and feeling fab :j Xx
:rotfl::rotfl: So fab I went the whole hog and bought half a new wardrobe
Forgive me ladies for I have sinned, it has been umpteen years since my last confession..........
So the new hair, nice foundation and feeling something other then frumpy mummy has a detrimental affect on my saving plans
I have been ME shopping! I found some gorgeous jeans that actually fit lovely my now size 22 @rse ( thanks wisdom teeth extraction and return to school nerves for the splendid weight loss!)
and a few other bits and bobs.....
1 pair of blue jeans
1 pair of black jeans
1 pair black work trousers
1 pair of grey work trousers
3 longer length light jumper tops
2 long sleeve t-shirts
2 short sleeve t-tops
2 bras
1 pair ballet pumps black
1 pair of black ankle boots 7 pairs of black pants
7 pairs of black socks
All tops suitable for work/going out................. £231.98 :o
I am yet to take the tags off and fighting the urge to return them all but I am down to my last pair of jeans and my last pair of work trousers and only a handful of tops that are wearable. My black canvas pumps for work got wet in the down pour on Friday and now stink worse then the factory at wensleydale!
Asda Shop went well, lots of meat and veggies bought on YS, have filled the freezer and refilled all the cupboards of tins, jars, rice and pasta.the fridge is groaning with pack up bits and bobs and the shelve is stocked up with bottles of juice. The fruit bowl is full and should last [STRIKE]until Tuesday if the horrors don't leave it alone[/STRIKE] midweek! spent £156 and some shrapnell. plus £17 extra on a new safety gate for Superman's room to keep master Hinge from [STRIKE]destroying the place[/STRIKE] visiting and Superman screeeeeeeetching! :A
Roast chicken is cooking and the smell is making my tummy rumble! have mash spuds, roasties, carrots, peas, beans and stuffing with jugfuls of gravy!
Yesterday using some savvy shopping in boots and the points I got for the nice foundation I bought some posh shampoo, plan on diving in the shower before dinner is ready.... pack ups are made and horrors already bathed so leaves me a evening free to catch up on my knitting and X crapter!
Hope everyone is well
