The joy of the Dla, you'll need one of these

I stumbled through he door after the school run to find the dreaded brown envelope, having contemplated a large vodka before i opened it i felt rather disappointed to read it is just a bog standard " we are sorry for taking so long but we still haven't reached a decision" blah blah blah sigh!

Some unplanned over time this morning after a frantic call from work covering sickness! I guess extra money in Janruary will be most welcome:o

Busy day yesterday, nipped to the farm shop whilst superman had his riding lesson, 25kg sack of spuds, 10kg rabbit food, hay and sawdust for £24 :money::money: huge box of rabbit greens donated free for the bunnies :D:D

Trip to Aldi for store cupboard essentials, snacks and baking basics before the mammoth cupcake session :rotfl::rotfl: must be mental:cool: £45 later.....

£16 later in Asda by mr Hinge for Superman's branded basics and a last minute dash to end of day closing at the local market saw another £6 gone.....
    :money::money::money:
    12 satsumas
    6 golden delicious apples
    12 bananas
    3 punnets of strawberries
    8 mixed peppers
    38 tomatoes
    2lbs of mushrooms
    2 cauliflowers
    18 huge carrots
    Turnip

The money saved may cover the cost of the chiropractor for my now dodgy back after lugging it all home :rotfl:

I have made a huge vat of bolognaise sauce with the peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes with a few grated carrots and some dried herbs, will add it to the mince when needed...... 8 meals for 4 of us in the freezer :D:j

Carrots and turnip turned in to mash and frozen in bags, the scrags went in the beef stew we had with yorkie puds for dinner :D

Cauliflower cheese for tea tomorrow night with pork chops the other got chopped and blanched and in the freezer for chrimbo..... If i can avoid the supermarket on the 24th I blinking well will:o

The fruit will hopefully last until thursday but with these chimps who knows

    This weeks food:
    Monday pork chops cauliflower cheese
Tuesday spag bol hm garlic bread
Wednesday sausages and mash peas and sweetcorn
Thursday bbq chicken thighs hm wedges
Friday steak and chips followed by chocolate birthday cake if mr Hinges knows what is good for him :rotfl:
    Saturday curry, rice and naan
Sunday will be roast chicken dinner

Busy crocheting this evening, yesterday I made Miss Hinge a rotten minion hat to keep her warm, baby hinge has demanded i make him a pair of mittens and I want to try and squeeze in a scarf as a gift for superman's horsey tutor!

Tiddlers all bathed before dinner and in their pj's watching polar express, it is Mr Hinges turn to do the washing up and pack ups for tomorrow :D I will do Miss Hinge's physio and leg rubs before settling down to the !!!!factor final!

    How is everyone?

Mrs Hinge you are so organised, meal plan looks yummy :T

Running around like a headless chicken today, small food shop in the morning, Missy Stripes had a birthday party to attend to which birthday boy announced loudly 'I invited Missy Stripes because I love her!' He is 4 she is 3.......young love, Mr Stripes was not at party.:rotfl:

After that Missy Stripes had rehearsals for her dance concert which was an hour later. It was all about the girl for a change, good day a very proud mummy :j

Extra money always helps :j especially in the sale.
