Terrific weight loss ..... Is there some small non eating reward to yourself being given?
As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
What does the saying say.... When life hands you lemons, make lemonade
Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or

    Thanks Ladies x

BM no reward yet I have set my reward for when I get my club 10, I have a long way to go. slow and steady wins the race and all that.

Rough night with Superman, he is full of gunge and very emotional, battle of negotiation for getting his antibiotics and nurofen in to him. bribed him with a mc D's breakfast :o (his new all time favourite most delicious breakfast ever!!)

Mr Hinge is on the school run today so I'm going back to bed with my kindle and enjoy the umpteen books I have bought using my free 30 day trial :rotfl:

this week is going really fast.

Dietwise I have been really good...... S&V snack a jacks are my favourite these days :o a sneaky weigh in today shows I haven't lost an ounce since thursday :( and today has been a struggle to keep my hand out of the biscuit tin :o moral of the story throw the blinking scales out of the window to avoid temptation  or get Mr Hinge to hide them in the loft where I can't get to them :rotfl:

Trip in to town today to swap some bits we bought for Missy Hinge at the weekend, she is all legs up to the armpits at the moment and growing too fast. Primarni jeggings x2, leggings x3 and joggers x3 to see her through until the warmer weather and some vest/tops x 10 tops for layering. £78 later....... she did put £30 towards it all :o I haven't a clue where she gets her love of shopping as I blinking hate it!!

Superman visited the Drs for his blood tests yesterday and was freakin awesome!! sat lovely, chatted away asking what they were doing the whole time and was totally charming, the problems came when we had to leave and he couldn't take his blood home with him :( he went mental screaming at them telling them off, shaking his finger at them, demanding I phone the police as they were stealing his blood  he finally calmed down by the time we got home after along chat, some ipad time and a quickly hashed together social story about blood testing at the labs.

Trip out to the cinema at the weekend with my lovely bestie to watch the new pitch perfect2. made me chuckle..... a lot! All made better as it was free, paid by A compo ticket from my trip to see Mr Grey back in Feb when the power went down for a few minutes! we have a few days away booked in july at a lovely posh spa:D:D I am very very excited! and will try not to sleep the whole time I am away :rotfl:

Mr Hinges is cooking tea tonight, my favourite egg, sausage chips and beans and I am most grateful! Superman had me awake most of the night. "has my blood shown any germs yet?" repeat a gazillion times with a grab to my face and a swift head jerk as he turned me to look at him each time.

Hello Mrs H, just catching up!!

Wahey for 4lbs off, well done you. My mums favourite diet ever is SW. All that free pasta, rice etc.. right up her street! And if I was allowed it would be my diet of choice too, but unfortunately mine is ketogenic for migraines although helping me to lose some of my 37% body fat  one thing mum said was watch fruit. Bananas and grapes are the worst for keeping weight on when you are being so good with everything else!! She stuck to apples, strawberries and berries and that really helped!

Bless Missy H with her growth spurt. I think Supermans new breakfast sounds brilliant ;) although I'd prefer mine to be lunch of a big mac each day personally!! :D lol.

How nice to get the free cinema as a compo :) very good! I've been listening to the soundtrack from it today!

Can't believe you have been in your house for 3 months now!! Mega :) and great news to getting the rental deposit money back! Serves old landlord right!!! And shows why the scheme was set up in the first place! xxx

  • All sounding good Mrs H (save for the sleepless nights, stolen blood and scales woes!).

You really shouldn't have mid-week weighs, tempting as it is. I can't help myself on the gym scales, and on Friday last week they said I'd gained, but last night at my official weigh in I've lost 3lbs. Keep going, you will get there Xx

 didn't realise it had been so long since my last post.....:o

Things are a mixed bag in the house of Hinge. From the top down:

Missy Hinge had a rather horrendous knee dislocation over half term. it left her unable to weightbare for a good 2.5-3weeks with no one willing to take charge of her treatment. the lovely dr in A and E was horrified when he managed to re-dislocate her knee just by lifting it up to examine. He started talking orthopods and surgery but decided the specialist should be managing this. said specialist discharged us in November and has a 18 week wait for new appointments  We decided to go private and see a physio who works in the field that affects Missy H, with her help we are getting somewhere and have managed week 1 with out crutches this week BUT the cost is eye watering and totally blown my savings and budget. :(

Superman had an amazing birthday and loved his party. can't believe my little man is 7!! He is totally awesome :A

Schooling..... All in order for transition to new schools for the summer term. Master Hinge has settled in amazingly well at his new pre-school so much so he keeps refusing to go to his current one for the last few sessions :rotfl:. Superman goes next week for a full day visit and meet his new 1:1 TA....he is very excited yet sad at the same time. He has realised he will be leaving his friends behind :o Missy Hinge also has 2 days at her new school and will meet her new form tutor and new class mates. All is ready for her and they have bent over backwards in order to get her specialist seating and equipment in place for her starting. I have ordered her uniform and paid the deposit for her school residential trip..... both deadlines were this week and have been very costly

With all the trips to london for treatment, local appointments, school meetings we have really taken our eye of the spending ball and and feeling the pinch now  a DD was returned unpaid earlier this week for the first time in 4 years. I am :mad:with myself at frittering money away and that our debt balance has increased these last 6 weeks instead of shrinking.

A lot happening in the next 2 weeks, a 2 night spa break with my BFF, missy Hinge turning 11, all the things that go with the end of school year.... sports days/musicals/award assemblies and school leavers parties so trying to get on top of the meal planning to avoid unnecessary eating out/spending. Big Aldi shop done yesterday to stock up on essentials and store cupboard bits. visited the local green grocers for some fruity bargains. big pan of tomato sauce cooking ready for meal bases. 2x2lb banana loaves, 12 choc chip muffins and a huge tray oaty bake/flapjack type thingie made for snacks.

Bounced DD paid for over the phone so we are up-to-date again with all bills. budget almost done for July and looks "ok-ish" will have some saving to do for the rest of the school uniforms, shoes and other c7@p they need.

We have to sit down and really decide if we can actually afford to go on the camping holiday that we have booked and paid for in a few weeks.

    I'm frazzled :(

51 days of freedom and fun times before all the Little Hinges have fresh starts in new schools!!

Superman is ready for his down time and celebrated his last day of school with many hi-5's and goodbyes! Missy Hinge is looking forward to getting to "big" school and has been placed with 2 of best friends.

What a busy few weeks with missy Hinge's birthday, school leavers assemblies, discos and musical shows...... new school transition days and not to mention my lovely spa get away!

We have some lovely and (free) day trips planned over the next few weeks making the most of our annual merlin passes and tesco vouchers before they run out. We have so many amazingly beautiful nature reserves and parks on our doorstep that we are yet to fully explore so many picnics are in order!

frugal back to school it will be, Missy Hinge's uniform is very strict all but shirts and trousers have to have logos and her initials sewn on but that has been ordered. The rest will be from Asda as always in the next few weeks! Superman won't wear his new school's sweatshirt/jumper as it is round neck, have managed to get some v next ones in the same colour from M&S... 20% off at the moment and with some vouchers and a returned gift receipt from an unwanted xmas present they haven't cost anything :money: again polo shirts and trousers from Asda! Have money saved for new trainers and school shoes for the end of August. lunch bags and rucksacks were all new Easter/birthday time so will be washed and dried ready.

All in all we are ticking over, Missy Hinge is suffering with multiple dislocations and her fatigue is immense but now is the time to rest, the heat is making her feel squiffy and she is too young for any meds to help so it's plenty of water and a good dose of salt at lunch to get her through to bedtime!

Money is manageable if we are sensible, i think petrol will be the biggest expense this summer but have made the most of the tesco fuel save and will do the same for august.

how is everyone else doing? Stripes are you embracing the summer holidays with The King incharge? :rotfl:
