    productive day today, I have:
called the local primary school to book a look round in view of possibly moving Superman in September Emailed the secondary school that Missy Hinge is going to in September and asked for a meeting to build a plan for medical needs contacted Autism outreach with my concerns regarding Superman and his current school chased up the OT to find where missy Hinges splints have vanished to....

Wow you have a lot on with the kids at the minute (and always) - Poor Missy H. I for one am up for trying anything if it has even a chance of helping relieve some of the pain. I am in no way an advocate for taking masses of painkillers but frankly the doctors leave me to my own devices with a 2 page long list of medications and just leave me to manage the dosages. That was why I tried the op in December... to try and come off some of it. That backfired massively so back to square one! I would say go for it. You can only try it to find out what the effects and side effects are. Useless reading the what-if's on the packaging. If even one test subject during the course of human testing states that they started seeing blue dots in their eyes one day, it HAS to be acknowledged on the list of side effects. Take them with a pinch of salt and do what is right for your girl.

YAY to the OU course!! Well done you :T never doubted you were very clever Mrs ;)

I have been neglecting you all, I'm sorry. My grey cloud has unexpectedly reared its ugly head and I feel rather dull and just grumpy in between the rivers of tears and frustrated rants in Mr Hinges ear!

The house of Hinge is sailing along..... it's school holidays here and the little Hinge's are doing their best to drive me even more insane!
Master Hinge certainly like to press Superman's meltdown button and loves hearing him screeeeeeeeeeching

Missy Hinge has a raging ear infection for the 2nd time this year.... conclusion seems to be her swimming is responsible and we need to buy her some ear plugs..... should be fun as she can barely hear the instructors command as it is!!

We heard last week Missy Hinge has won a scholarship to go on a special EDS activity weekend in the lakes  free of charge other than travel to and from :j she is very excited at the prospect of a long weekend surrounded by people just like her :D

£150 over payment made on Mr Hinge's CC this month  slowly does it!

Mr Hinge has been and braved the Aldi shop today, £42.89 reduced to £37.89 with the paper voucher  we have another one left for Thursday which will fill the freezer and cupboards up a bit for when we get back from our holidays. :T

Have a girlie spa break in July to look forward too..... 2 whole nights away with a lovely friend :)

This depression is hard work. Even I am fed up with being fed up.........

  • Sorry you aren't doing so well mood wise, but everything else sounds like it's ticking along nicely (ear infections and meltdowns aside!).

Trips away all sound great Xx

    sneaks in.......

Mary Hinge must not go AWOL, Mary Hinge must not go AWOL, Mary Hinge must not go AWOL...........

We are settling down to life in our new home, all our finances have settled down and our claims have all been assessed and sorted. our budget looks good for making debt repayments.

We survived the Easter holidays relatively unscathed..... our holiday away was cut short thanks to Superman and his persistence in wanting to come home...... no wifi was the deal breaker for him :rotfl: in the time we were away we played on the beach, paddled in the freezing cold sea, visited a lovely castle and explored the caves at wookey hole (which may I add is ridiculously over priced and totally unsuitable for anyone with a pushchair let alone a wheelchair!!) The highlight for the little hinges' were a game of pirate crazy golf :rotfl:

Progress is been made with regards to moving Superman to a new school in september, and I have a meeting on friday to discuss Missy Hinge's transition to secondary school. It seems from the recent observations the profs have made, Superman had "something else" going on in the back ground along side his autism, learning disabilities and speech disorder. He is to go to an assessment panel for them to look at developmental co-ordination disorders such as dyspraxia etc.... hopefully over the summer holidays.

Missy Hinge heads of to camp for the bank holiday, I'm taking master Hinge for a relaxing long weekend in the lakes so we can be close by but far enough away :rotfl: Master Hinge and Superman are planning a boys weekend :D cinema for the new avengers film and a day at alton towers going on all the fast rides that make mummy feel sick :rotfl:....... making good use of our merlin passes!!

I've been fighting alot of demons the last few months and have felt rather suffocated and overwhelmed recently. my lovely friend helped get me an appointment with the crisis team to get some more support that my Gp has been stalling on. one phone call from her and ab-ra-ca-dab-ra the referrals have been done! the last 2 days I've felt much more positive and abit more "normal" so here's hoping things are on the turn!

Hope is everyone here? Stripes I can tell by the biscut crumbs on the sofa that you made yourself comfy over the Easter holidays :rotfl:

    Welcome back Mrs Hinge!!

Glad everything is coming together in the new home.

Great plans for the bank holiday.

Glad you are finally getting more support for your mental health - shame it was your friend who had to sort it rather than the GP.
  • Aw Mrs H, things must have been really bad for you. Sending oodles of hugs and so glad to hear you are getting the help you deserve eventually. Yay to your lovely friend.

Your Bank Holiday plans sound great. Lovely times to be had by all Xx

Delivering a bag of assorted biscuits to the sofa......

Hugs to you and your friend who supported you, I hope that things today are brighter and there are days of hope.

Glad to hear you are getting the help you need now Mrs H and that things have settled down. Sorry your holiday was cut short. Blooming appease the weefee. Back in my day ;) but actually back in my day I have no idea how the poor little fell would have coped without the interweb.

Very glad that you have such a lovely friend. Big hugs and welcome back! xxx
