Mrs Hinge your house sounds fabulous and very similar to mine this Christmas. Lots of love, fighting over toys (we want Jelly's!) and amazing food.
Stripes I do hope the King gets better soon. Poor little fella
More of the same Mrs H!! Have a lovely end to your Boxing Day! xx

Stripes I do hope The King gets better soon, it really is dragging on for the poor little mite. But :j:j on escaping the in laws :T:T good move :rotfl:
To we stupidly braved the shops.... well made it round asda before Superman begged to come home. :rotfl: We went to exchange Master Hinge's present, when we unboxed it and set it all up yesterday there were some pieces missing :mad: they had none to exchange it for so we had a refund. I have ordered a replacement for it on line and saved £9 :money:
shame that £9 savings won't cover the  new kingsize quilt, new covers, stock pan, griddle pan and new towels I found in the sale at Asdain all fairness they were all on our sale shopping list other than the quilt but after freezing in bed the last few nights battling mr Hinge for a tiny corner of covers I declared it a necessity for a bigger one, or he can take the spare one and sleep on the sofa
only thing we are left to buy is a new TV, ours is at least 16 years old, was a hand-me-down from out neighbour and is so big it takes up half of the living roomMr Hinge is buying this with his birthday money as I refuse to replace ours whilst it is still working :rotfl: yes I know I am tight
Lasagne in the oven cooking for tea, meal plan looks like this:
Today Lasange
Sat cajun chicken and wedges
Sunday Steak and chips (Mr Hinge's birthday:beer:)
Monday Chilli and rice
Tuesday Hm burgers..... fancying the Jack Monroe 9p ones in my new cook books
Wednesday Pizza, pasta and salad
Thursday Belly pork in cider sauce with mash and veggies (YS i froze a while a go)
Superman has bought a desk with his xmas money, he is really in to making up stories, he draws the pictures and tells us what is happening and we write down what he wants to say. I am hoping his desk will help him with his designing and writting. if all else fails it will be another surface to display his abundance of lego on
Lilt give Jelly back her toys...... it's your turn when she goes to bedLiving in a superhero induced haze :A:A

We had a lovely Christmas Day too Mrs Hinge.
Although the King is still poorly now with an infected sty we have had lots of cuddles and I stayed home with the boy while hubby went to in laws for a bit.
Hope the King is feeling better today...l and that you are having a family day today
Mrs H you are very brave going to the salesAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Braving Asda on Boxing Day:eek:
I think we are the same person Mrs H - we too have a huge TV that dates back to the Dark Ages. DH keeps telling me it has a red tinge and we need to get a new one. I told him he will have to wait until it really gives up as I can't see any difference!!
The problem will be that when we go to a flat screen it can go on the wall to free up floor space but then I will have to rearrange the living room:eek:0 -

Mr Hinge is sulking that I won't allow budget for a unnecessary TV so has ordered one himself using his Christmas and birthday money :rotfl::rotfl:

Polar opposites with TV's in this house!
Joint Xmas present with Him (we don't really do presents) three years ago was a second 32 inch flatscreen. It went on the wall and free'd up 'my' tv, bought when I moved down here with nowt to my name, for me to supposedly watch my programmes on whilst he gamed. Only his gaming was chatting on a headset and I couldn't hear my TV, then when Jelly came, my TV became the land of cbeebies. So I retreat to my laptopwhich is in two pieces and only now have I admitted defeat when work have asked me for their monitor back and I am sick of skirting the box that said monitor stands on
I kick it so many times in the night!
I will feel sick when I buy a new laptop. This one still works... :rotfl:
Jelly's toys are a bit noisy for playing once she is in bed. A giant roll out keyboard playing 8 different instruments when the keys are jumped on is my favourite!
Did you manage to find vintage power rangers?!?!

Oh yes I bought the 2 "zords" that he wanted for about £85  one was brand new in box and the other was 2nd hand but in amazing condition like new. He loved them even is "santa" did leave one at the bottom of my wardrobe hidden right at the back only to be discovered when Superman went in meltdown that santa hadn't listened and only brought him the one ( and not his ultimate favourite one either )
Que a hectic hunt upstairs for it with Mr Hinge insisting it wasn't there  and a half hashed story about santa making a treasure hunt for him :rotfl:
with in minutes he had combined all his power rangers in to one ultimate mega zord..... pure amazement at watching him put it all together perfect first time with no instructions or help.Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A
