Username - do you mind it being shortened?

It`s the other way around with my real name - my parents have always shortened it and I always hated it! I prefer my full real name and it really bugs me when people I`ve barely known 5 secs shorten it!

Not fussed about my username though, not sure what it would be like short?

I've got a relative called Amelia, and we often try to shorten it, because the little ones (aged about 3 or 4) find it a bit of an effort. The most they manage is Mee-la!

A loved child has many names...sonetimes these are shortene versions of a given name.

Akmost know one calls be by my given name, my parents sometimes, and i rarely use it, even though i like it. The nick name i go by in my family is how i think of myself, though not everybody uses that either, When they do tjey ge it wrong often enough, which is also fine...i answer to anything really! Usually i use a shortened version of my nick name.

As regards username, i don 't mind what it is shortened too. I am usually lir or lost here, i like both.

I don't mind my name being shortened online, it's friendly and aves on typing for some lengthy names but only my friends call me my shortened name in real life - it would be a bit cheeky for someone you just met to do it

I haven't been around long enough on here to have had my name shortened, but I wouldn't mind if anyone did - tis a tad on the long side. Its clearly not my real name anyways.

I don't like my real name being shortened. Someone I used to work with and wasnt even close to used to shorten it all the time and it always really annoyed me.
