Oh LiR, So sorry to hear your tale of woe! Hope you are beginning to feel better. So sorry your lovely bath was spoilt. Hope your next Birthday is a happier one! But in the meantime, belated Happy Birthday.

One of the Grandtwins over the other day had the runs, and then sick when got home. But he's over it now and they went off to the caravan for today. One of the other Mums there made an Easter Egg search in the field, the Twins are now festooning the caravan with shards of chocolate! :rotfl: Poor SiL is running round trying to pick them up before they melt or get trodden into carpet. Waste of time really, the carpet is a mess anyway! :o : ):rotfl:

I love how kids bounce back. Dh is obviously a big kid, he looks rosy and healthy again. :D

Next year I WILL have a bath that is less effort to run (its been bit of a drama laden weekend too, with the boiler, hence the kettles etc, but its properly off now. However cold it gets I am not risking a fire in the house ). Not that long til we should here back about the complaint made.

Birthdays can be movable feasts, lir. I move mine more often than not to tie in with some decent weather. But it's horrible to have food poisoning at any time, especially on top of your other woes.

From here, the only way is up!nature-smiley-003.gif

Maggie, hopefully, I'll have time to read your saga soon, but with our DD1 here we are busier than usual....orsleeping-smiley-009.gif !

I think it was warmer here today, for a time at any rate. No long johns and no beanie in the morning, despite being up a ladder. Will be pleased to finish this hedging lark now.

Paid a brief visit to a proper nursery yesterday, where we got a couple of nice shrubs requiring minor TLC at £1 each and a good loganberry, which has already become three! :D We may have a fruit cage by this time next year. :o

I was just attacked by a chicken , what a scary bird

Today we have decided that since it is a sunny day we are going to go to the beach for a cobweb clearing walk :D

Our chickens wouldn't attack you, but they might fly up onto you if you were carrying something tasty looking. That could be disconcerting. :rotfl:

DD1 and husband went to a beach near Clovelly today. They said it was quite calm down there in the lee of the cliffs. No prawns to be had though, but they returned with a good haul of winkles. :)

  • Evening all, hope everyone's having a lovely (if a bit cold!) Easter :)

I have a question about ALUMINIUM. As in scrap/recycling.

I have been collecting up all the aluminium that I come across and saving it, rather than putting it in with the general recycling, with the intention to take to a scrap metal dealer when I have enough of the stuff.

Now, I have also been collecting aluminium FOIL trays (cat food and takeaway), FOIL lids (from the cat food trays) and general household FOIL (clean, not used for cooking!)...but now I see that my local recycling plant have changed their rules and now don't accept any type of foil for recycling and that got me thinking...

SO my question is: do scrap metal dealers accept foil?

    thanks in advance :)
